Council wishes to advise that a section of Heinrich Road, between the Sturt Highway and Gogel Road intersections, is currently closed to the public due to damage sustained during the weekend’s significant rainfall.

Council staff are working to restore the road to a safe and trafficable condition and will reopen the section as soon as possible.

If you are a resident in this location, please be assured that you will still be able to access your property.

**Update**

With the heavy rain fall received overnight some CWMS systems have become inundated which has caused blockages. Council is aware of the issue and are working through it with property owners. If you are having issues at your property, please call Council for assistance on 85848000.

Council also wishes to remind the community to please take care on the roads where flooding has occurred. Avoid driving through flood waters where possible.

73mm of rain over the weekend at the Clinic. It has all soaked in here, but still some roads blocked off around town due to over flowing catchment areas.

There is a risk of localised flooding for low-lying areas in the Riverland which may threaten you and your family's safety.Six-hourly rainfall totals between 40 to 60 mm are possible today, increasing to 60 to 100 mm.

We are predicted to have high winds, heavy rain, and possible flooding this weekend!

🔶️ We will have our sand bagging station open to the public
- Friday 3pm - 6pm
- Saturday 8am - 12 noon

🔶️ Alternately, we will have sand bag packs available to the public, located in the yellow bin stationed out the front of our station (22 Armstrong Avenue, Loxton). Help yourself to these, and please advise the station if it needs refilling.
