A big congratulations to our very own Dr Sophie Hamilton for winning this national award for her excellence in training registrars. She is a highly valued member of our team and a very deserving recipient.

🏆 Congratulations to Dr Sophie Hamilton, recipient of the 2025 Corlis Medical Educator Award.

Dr Hamilton is recognised for her enthusiasm for teaching and a peer‑based learning approach. A champion for rural registrars, she designs education that mirrors real‑world practice — from guest speakers and procedural skills sessions to field visits, including a local farm to understand farm life, stressors and injury risks.

Her program goes beyond clinical knowledge, equipping registrars with a solid grasp of system practices, ethical decision‑making and the broader public health context.

With the Christmas season quickly approaching, we would like to encourage our patients to keep an eye on scripts that may be required over this period so you don’t get caught out.

As a reminder, you can book a short ‘script only’ appointment with a GP.

Alternatively, you can speak to our admin team about placing an order which can be ready within 5 business days.

In South Australia, children aged 16 and over can consent to medical treatment.

therefore, signed medical authority is required if you wish to speak on behalf of, or pick up scripts/letters/results if your child aged 16 years and over.

~ Repeat script ordering ~

Did you know that you can order your repeat scripts through your regular GP?

All you have to do is ring the surgery atleast 1 week before you are due to run out and put an order in with our admin staff.

Cost is $17 ($20 for Dr Sophie Hamilton and Nurse Practitioner Sharlene Milich.) Your scripts can either be left at the front desk for collection in 5 business days, or e-script sent to your chosen pharmacy.
