🎉 Great news for our community! 🎉
We’re pleased to announce that Loxton Hospital has officially re-opened our operating theatre and full obstetric services following a temporary closure for theatre upgrades.
The upgrade works are now complete, and services have safely resumed. This means we’re once again able to provide surgical care and welcome new arrivals locally — something we know is incredibly important for our community 💙
Thank you for your patience and understanding while these improvements were carried out. We’re excited to be back and caring for you close to home.
The Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network (RMCLHN) is pleased to share that the $550,000 upgrade to the Loxton Hospital Complex theatre is now complete.
The walls, floor vinyl and air conditioning have been upgraded.
These upgrades will result in improved clinical services, accessibility, and improved quality, health and safety outcomes for staff and consumers. They also ensure people living in the town and surrounds of Loxton continue to have access to safe, high quality health care close to home.
The Loxton Hospital Complex theatre lists recommenced from Tuesday 17 February 2026, and all planned and unplanned labour and birth care recommenced at Loxton Hospital Complex from 8:30am today, Wednesday 18 February 2026.
