is a Not-for-Profit 60 Bed Residential Aged Care Facility comprising of 40 Aged Care beds and a purpose built 20 bed specialised Memory Support Unit. 12 Independent Living Units and 13 Serviced Apartments are also located on-site. A huge thank you to Christine, one of our wonderful team members, for gifting us the most breathtaking donation of blooms today. Her kindness turned our afternoon into a vibrant celebration as residents spent their leisure time arranging the beautiful stems and filling their home with colour 💐✨

🥕🐰 Riverview Easter Games 🐰🥕

We wrapped up our Easter festivities with our first-ever Easter Games, and let’s just say, things got a little competitive (and a lot hilarious!) 🌟

We kicked things off with the ‘Great Bunny Tail Scoop’, blindfolding both residents and staff to see how good they were at filling their buckets full of bunny tails, using only a spatula! We think more tails ended up everywhere BUT the bucket 😜

Next, we made sure nobody went hungry at the ‘Hungry Bunny Toss’ followed by the ‘Ear-Resistable Ring Toss’, a huge shout out to our brave staff and volunteer Julie who wore giant inflatable ears while residents perfected their aim! 🐰

To top it all off, our staff finished with an epic Easter Relay Race! Between the hula hoops, skipping ropes and the classic egg-and-spoon race, we haven’t laughed that hard in a long time 😂

A big thanks to every bunny who made it so special ✨

Pizza making was in full swing this afternoon after a request was made to have pizza on the menu at our recent Resident and Representatives meeting. So of course our Lifestyle Team decided to turn the idea into a fun hands-on activity 🍕

With plenty of toppings to choose from, everyone had the chance to create their very own pizza masterpiece 🌟

It was wonderful to see many of our residents getting involved, sharing ideas and enjoying the simple pleasure of making (and eating!) something delicious together 😋

After weeks of getting crafty and creative, our residents finally debuted our “It’s a Small World After All” float at the 69th Annual Loxton Mardi Gras. It was a spectacular explosion of colour, creativity, and community! 🌍 🎶

The real star of the show? Teddy the cat, who didnt want to miss out on all the fun 🐱 ✨

A huge thank you to everyone who cheered us along and to our residents and lifestyle team for their incredible hard work! 🌻 🎨

💚💛 LET THE GAMES BEGIN 💛💚

The spirit of the Winter Olympics took over Riverview this afternoon, as our lounge room transformed into an arena as residents went head-to-head in a series of entertaining games 🏆

From Ice Hockey and Curling matches to the high speed thrills of Bobsledding, the competition was fierce but the sportsmanship was even stronger, as residents cheered one another along and chanted “Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi”! 🇦🇺

A special shout out to resident Peter, who did us proud as our official Torch Bearer, opening our ceremony and setting the perfect tone for an afternoon of fun and laughter 🏅

Christmas at Riverview 🎄🌟🎆

What a wonderful time we’ve had celebrating both the joy and meaning of Christmas. Throughout December, we kept busy with a wide variety of festive activities and special events, including:

🎄Turning Riverview into a Christmas Wonderland
🎄Decorating the Chapel tree, while reflecting on the true meaning of Christmas
🎄Creating reindeers to decorate our tree in the Christmas Tree Display & enjoying a special visit to view the display
🎄Viewing the Loxton Lights Up fireworks display from the Riverview lawns
🎄Bus tours of Christmas Wonderland, Santa's Walk and Loxton lights
🎄Weekly Christmas carols singalongs
🎄Christmas movies, craft and baking
🎄A beautiful Christmas concert performed by the Loxton Lutheran School students
🎄Traeger Christmas Party
🎄Carols by candlelight in both Traeger and Edwards, led by a wonderful group of community singers and pianists
