At North West Physiotherapy, we’re always looking for effective ways to support your recovery and overall wellbeing. We’re excited to let you know that we are now offering acupuncture as part of our treatment services.
Acupuncture is an evidence-based technique used within physiotherapy to help relieve pain, reduce muscle tension, improve circulation, and support the body’s natural healing processes. It can be particularly beneficial for managing acute and chronic pain, headaches, sports injuries, and ongoing muscle tightness.
What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a treatment technique that involves the insertion of very fine, sterile needles into specific points in the body. In a physiotherapy setting, it is grounded in evidence-based practice and used to help relieve pain, reduce muscle tension, and support the body’s natural healing processes.
Acupuncture can be highly effective for:
• Reducing muscle tightness and trigger points
• Managing acute and chronic pain
• Improving circulation
• Assisting with headaches and migraines
• Supporting recovery from injuries
• Reducing stress and promoting relaxation
Many patients find it not only helps decrease pain, but also improves mobility and speeds up recovery when combined with hands-on physiotherapy and exercise rehabilitation
Yasmin, is now offering acupuncture here at North West Physiotherapy.
Yasmin is a qualified acupuncturist with a strong interest in helping patients manage pain, reduce muscle tension, and improve overall wellbeing. She takes a personalised approach to treatment and works closely with our physio team to ensure your care is tailored to your goals.
Yasmin is available in the clinic on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
If you’re curious about how acupuncture works or would like to know whether it’s suitable for you, feel free to book an appointment or speak directly with Yasmin — she’s more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the service.
