COOKING AND CONNECTION WITH YOUR SENSES 🌻🌞

That’s what awaits you at this seasons Seasonal Ayurveda Cooking Workshop!

Sunday 21 SEPTEMBER 10am-2pm

I’ve extended this workshop by an hour… because there is so much to discuss, experience, cook, EAT, consume and enjoy!! ☺️

Spring is your time to start coming out of your shell. And that means connecting with life around you. And we do this with our senses.

Our spring workshop will include all the fun cooking, eating and theory related things. But it will be focused directly on THE SENSES and learning about the six Ayurveda Tastes ~ ‘rasa’ 👅

Having knowledge about rasa and insight into pre and post digestive effects of rasa is a game changer when it comes to mindful cooking and eating.

Ayurveda is simple. But it seems like a lot in the beginning. And that’s because there’s a lot to consider about what you do and you don’t, the impact of food and how you eat - and your symptoms as a result (because everyone is uniquely designed).

This workshop will help you understand the basic principles of Ayurveda and how they are simply a coming home to nature so we can come home to ourselves.

In this interactive, hands on session, we will talk through these concepts and cook some simple dishes mindful of how certain foods pick us up, how certain foods bring us down and how a great array of foods allow us to look inward and feel a deep sense of ease and connection.

We will eat them all together. Mindfully. Slowly. Tasting every bite. And chewing fully and completely to serve our digestion (Agni)

Community! Enjoy a free, slow-paced, beginner-friendly hatha yoga class Monday morning from next week!

Beginner friendly, expect to learn and practice a few yoga asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises) to prepare you for your week ahead and cultivate a harmonious sense of vitality, steadiness and calm.

This special community series is completely FREE to attend and made possible by community member, the amazing .moveme 💞

Come along and support Lana as she develops her yoga teaching style, voice and practices yoga teaching skills.

We’re excited to support Lana on her yoga journey! Thank you Lana!

Everyone and all levels are welcome. Come and try yoga and get a feel for the studio.

Please book ahead and bring a yoga mat, as we don’t have them available for borrowing. Arrival is 15 minutes prior, as classes will start on time and doors will close. If you can’t attend, please cancel ahead of time in respect for the teacher.

What does it mean to surrender? 🌱

On the surface it may seem like you’re loosing out but it’s actually very courageous and very much about growth. Because it leans into vulnerability and that place creates an environment for learning.

From a yoga perspective surrender is not about giving up. It’s about offering up. About softening yourself and giving yourself a chance to be, to breathe and to feel into the moment without expectation of what might be.

Be brave. Surrender. And we’ll be right there with you on the other side.

So pleased to share that I’m offering a few cooking classes this year. First one is coming up soon on March 23 ☀️

Join me for an interactive cooking workshop that will guide you through preparing—and eating—a delicious, healthy, balanced meal based on Ayurvedic principles.

This intimate experience invites you to learn how to cook a simple, nourishing, balanced, and satisfying meal while sharing it mindfully with your community.

In the workshop, be guided through:

- the fundamentals of Ayurvedic cooking and how to make a balanced meal with Ayurvedic principles
- how to make homemade ghee and understand why it’s good for you
- how to cook a balanced meal using local, seasonal fresh, whole ingredients
- the six tastes (rasa) and how to incorporate them into your meals for balance and satiation
- making Ayurvedic staples such as dhal, spiced rice, aromatic vegetables, stovetop bread, chutney and dips

Bring your mortar and pestle. If you don’t have one, get a medium—to large-sized one!

You’ll get guidance and recipes to take home xx
