Expanding my knowledge about all things lipoedema at the Lipoedema conference for the next few days! Did you know that Lipoedema affects between 11 -39% of the female population? It was only recognised as a disease by the WHO in 2017, so there's still so little research but so important that more and more is being undertaken

After 11 years of massaging in Rosebud, this is my first month of no "Melbourne week" after moving permanently to Canberra. I miss my beautiful clients, however, the work and care from Mangata Massage continues thanks to an amazing team of therapists providing massages to our elderly clients under their home care packages. Thanks to you all, many of whom are pictured here at our recent team dinner ❤️ You're the best, and I love knowing all our clients are literally in great hands!

Blissed out massage face! So, so grateful to work with such amazing therapists, today's massage was with Sarah Hill on my right. This is great news, its so important to get more information out regarding Lipoedema.

Yesterday, our Chair Jen Bartlett and Advisory Board member Megan Pfeffer attended the Healthed Women’s and Children’s Update in Perth, where nearly 1,000 GPs gathered to learn from leading experts.

They spoke with many healthcare professionals who had never heard of lipoedema, or had confused it with lymphoedema. Pleasingly they also connected with a large number of GPs who had heard of it and were eager to learn more about how to better support their patients.

Events like this are invaluable for raising awareness and changing the way lipoedema is understood in clinical settings.

A big thank you to Jen and Megan for volunteering their time to represent Lipoedema Australia and advocate on behalf of our community.

After the stress of moving, today has been self care Saturday, including amazing massages by the dynamic duo at by the Saturday Sarah's! I am so grateful to work with such amazing therapists. I don't work Saturdays any more, but I highly recommend these two for your weekend wellness!
