As I am effectively, retired, I carefully consider whether we are a good fit for anyone enquiring about spending time with us, before making a final decision whether or not to commence EAL Sessions/Horse Wisdom Program with each individual.
This year, our focus is to improve our fitness and increase our levels of BDNF, as we begin the next stage of our experiential learning, with Helios Harmony (in-hand classical dressage). To me, it is important, to pay homage to Habibi as I am truly grateful for her unwavering spirit and presence. I am hoping, that, by learning and practicing the ways of the old masters with Habibi, it will, in some way, repay my debt that I owe to her.
Habibi is a black skinned Arabian mare, in her 20s. She was bred for eventing and I was told that she competed for around 10 years, became injured, then had foals, living in a large herd thereafter in retirement. And then she came to be with us, on our EAL journey. Originally from Ballan, she stayed near Woodend for a few weeks before being trucked down to Pullenboon South Equine Retirement Farm near the Great Southern Ocean, to be with us. Only a year passed and then the return to the Macedon Ranges, this time, to the Kerrie Valley. We are all very settled again and enjoying our lives here, in Thoroughbred and Wine country, that is the Macedon Ranges
