So many want change. They want to feel better, look better, be better......without actually doing anything.

I was there once. I was you once.

You will reach for a supplement you know nothing about before you start drinking more water.
You would rather starve yourself instead of just eating better.
You prefer to blame the world around you for why it isnt working, rather than admitting you have taken no action.

Its harsh...but it's true.

This week is my birthday. I am inching closer to 40 - a time so many fear. And yet, I feel better now than ever did in my 20's.
And all it took was to be honest with myself.

I've been through a lot of s**t in my time. I have survived so much toil and chaos. So I said to myself, "If I can make it through all those things....then how difficult can it really be to tweak my lifestyle to suit my health goals?"

And here I am. Healthier, stronger, clearer, flatter and more energised than ever.

Put down the baggage, babe. Step up and take responsibility for yourself.

It's worth it.

We all fall for it. At one point or another.

But will you learn from it?

All of these things are just the same thing dressed in a different package.

You don't need another foolish fad or TikTok supplement.
You don't need a cleanse or to swallow more of that goopy stuff.

What you need is the REAL ROOT CAUSE work.

Another long weekend has just ended.
There was laughter. There was fun. There was booze. There was food.
Not the sort you'd usually eat, but fk it, right?

What now?
When you look at your reflection, what are you thinking?
What are you saying about yourself?

What emotions are you now holding after this weekend of fk it?
Guilt? Shame? Anger?

Let it be, babe. Let it be what it is. You had a merry time, made merry memories, and now, you get to step back on track.

It is the societal programming of "you must or else" that leads you here. To this ugly path of suppressed emotions and using them to beat yourself up.

Leave the punishment behind. Let the emotion go. Release these old patterns and beliefs.

It's time for you to learn a better way; to heal from within at the foundations so that you can leave this cycle of binge - shame & guilt - restrict - repeat behind.

The slides say it all.

My journey took YEARS...and when I finally learned that my mindset around how I treat myself needs to shift, results came. Years of struggle and suddenly I had results (lasting results) within a year.

These one-size-fits-all resets offer no real support, do not take your individual circumstances into consideration and often leave people more at risk than before.

Here's something I learned on my healing and weight release journey 👇.

Space.

This seems strange, but here me out.

In order to allow your body to heal, you need to provide it with the space to do just that. And most women aren't.
Most are forcing their bodies into submission, trying to bend it and break it to their will, pummelling it with words of abuse and forcing down supplement after supplement while cutting back what it really wants and needs.

Give it some space now, babe.
It hasn't worked for you in the past; it isn't suddenly going to work now.

Here's what it wants (and how you give it space to heal):

➡️ Oxygen - try deep breathing, outdoors, nature, water.
➡️ Thoughts & emotional clearing - try journalling, automatic writing, hypnotherapy, meditation, somatic practices.
➡️ High octane fuel - opt for cooking from scratch, electrolytes, quality water.
➡️ Recovery time - set and stick to a sleep hygiene routine every night, aim for quality sleep 8+hrs.

These 4 things are simple to add into your life - they take no extra time or money - and they will be an absolute game changer.

Sure, your gut is the space where nutrients are absorbed and toxins are eliminated. Sure, it is an important step in the process of healing your body. But that doesn’t mean that diet alone will get you there. Truth bomb.

See, the question you should be asking (and most people aren’t) is: are you setting your gut up to be successful in it’s tasks?

The optimal functioning of your gut is driven by inputs from your environment, such as light exposure, types of light, stressors, seasons, and your habits.
So let’s talk about it:

🧠 Habits matter – are you creating a restful state for optimal gut health? Or are you multi-tasking, eating on the go, staring at your screen?

⏱ Timing plays a role – are you eating large, heavy meals late at night? And are you meals at different times every day in a more “go with the flow” way? Or do you have set meal times in the daylight (or as close as possible) to ensure you have maximum enzyme production and digestive capacity?

🧎‍♀️Stress management is more important than you know. Are you allowing yourself a self-care moment (or moments) every day to destress and create safety within your nervous system? Or are you bottling it all up, locking it into your shoulders and your mind (and you gut) and distracting yourself from it?

Viewing your health from a holistic perspective is SO important, and majorly unrepresented in the health and fitness community. Start tweaking those every day habits and rituals to support your health and digestion…and then the changes you made in your diet will start to show up in your gut healing too.
