Unpopular health care opinion 🚨 🚨 This snippet really resonated with me.
Chronic or recurring injury? Tried everything you can think of? Often less is more in this instance, instead of looking things to add in like medications or 100 chiro visits. Maybe we need to look at things that may be contributing. Remove unnecessary stress from your life, remove yourself from the uninspired environment. Sleep more, move more and take time each day to just be present. A busy mind can and will slow recovery. Just Reminder to be kind to yourself and enjoy each day. Happy weekend team šŸ¤™šŸ¼.

I preach a quality night sleep as one of if not the most important factor for recovery. It is recommended to get 7-9 hours sleep each night, here are some tips to help achieve this.

Quality routine: Same bed time routine, same time for lights out and same wake up time each day.

Limit screen time: Obvious one here but limit screen time an hour before bed. Pick up a book instead šŸ“–.

Diaphragm breathing: Deep slow belly breaths can help reduce stress and anxiety, shifting you into a more relaxed state helping you have a more restful sleep.

Hydration: Make sure you’re consuming minimum 2L of water every day. This doesn’t include coffee and alcohol. Sorry gang.

Exercise: Making sure you get quality physical activity throughout the day will help you have a more restful sleep each night.

Quality supportive pillow: This can vary for each person depending on flavour preference. I recommend soul sleeper pillows. More in stock soon.

Extra tips: Good quality magnesium can also help here, and remember it’s important to just chill the f**k out regularly. Bed time is a great place to start this.

Hey team, Unfortunately the time has come for me to increase pricing. This will take effect from the 1st of April. I have not had a price increase in the 3 years of being in business and in that time my business expenses have more than doubled. I feel uneasy putting prices up but unfortunately I cannot put it off any longer. I have only increased my pricing by $5 on all services offered. Concession and children’s appointments will be $10 off listed price. I am a firm believer that true worth is measured by how much more I can give in Value than take in payment. With that in mind I will continue to provide the best possible care I can. If there is anything you would like offered or wish to discuss please reach out.

Mens mental health month is an opportunity to highlight and express the reality of the struggles men (and women) all go through at different stages in life. As a health professional, as a man and as a human being please know my door is always open, my phone is always on for anyone that needs to talk, needs someone to listen, needs a shoulder to cry on or a back to carry them through the dark days.
Still a lot of stigma around men talking whether it’s to a professional or a mate. Being transparent is something I pride myself on, I go and speak to a professional (psychologist) every 8-10 weeks, I regularly tell my mates I love them and how important they are to me. There is no shame in this.

For the fellow health professional please don’t underestimate your power of influence. Ask the questions, Have the conversations, refer out if you need to. We are capable of so much more than just ā€˜cracking backs’.
