🎒 Back to School Week
Let’s talk about something many families are quietly dealing with…

💩 Constipation in kids — it’s more common than you think.

Hard or painful poos, avoiding the toilet, tummy pain, accidents or even bedwetting can all be linked to constipation — and it’s not just “being a bit blocked.”

When kids hold on, the bowel stretches, the urge weakens, and bladder symptoms often appear too. That’s why treating constipation can improve both bowel and bladder control.

✨ What helps?
✔️ Regular fluids
✔️ Fibre-rich foods
✔️ Calm, unrushed toilet time
✔️ Good toilet posture (footstool = game changer!)
✔️ Reducing fear and stress around toileting
✔️ Support from a trained continence physio when needed

Our goal is simple:
🤍 Confident kids
🤍 Calm toileting
🤍 Fewer accidents
🤍 Happier families

If you’re wondering whether your child needs support — you’re not alone, and help is available.

🎒🚽 Is your child “toilet ready” for school?

Starting school is a BIG transition — and for some children, that change can show up as toileting worries or accidents, even if they’ve been toilet trained for years.

This is more common than you think 💛
New routines, busy classrooms, unfamiliar toilets and big emotions can all play a role.

The good news?
With a little preparation, open communication and support, you can help your child feel confident and comfortable before day one.

Swipe through for practical tips on:
✔️ Preparing before school starts
✔️ Building good toileting habits
✔️ Supporting communication at school
✔️ Knowing when and where to seek extra help

And remember — accidents are never a failure. They’re just a sign your child might need a little extra support during a big life change 🤍

If you’re feeling worried, chat with your GP or call the National Continence Helpline (1800 33 00 66) for free, confidential advice.

You’ve got this. And so do they 🌈

🎒 Back to School Week
And we’re talking about something that matters more than you think…

Kids’ continence.

Starting school (or returning to school) can highlight bladder and bowel challenges that families have been quietly managing at home. Things like accidents, constipation, fear of toileting or frequent toilet trips can impact confidence — both for kids and parents.

A paediatric pelvic floor physio can help with:
✔️ Constipation
✔️ Daytime accidents
✔️ Bedwetting
✔️ Fear or pain with toileting
✔️ Urgency or frequent wee trips

✨ Our goal?
Confident kids.
Calm toileting.
Fewer accidents.
Happier families.
