Why the movie SEEN matters:
In an age of overwhelming parenting advice and rising mental health concerns among children, SEEN offers a grounded, compassionate, and evidence-based perspective. It explores how our own stories and experiences as adults shape the way we show-up for the children in our care and why the connection we offer matters more than ever.
This film brings together expert insights, real stories, and hope, sparking the kind of understanding that can lead to real, grassroots change. Locally, it is a chance to connect.
In Mackay it will be screened on 02-September 6:00PM.

Queensland Mental Health Week is being celebrated from 5-13 October , with this year's theme being "Connect for Mental Health"๐Ÿงก
Connect for Mental Health is something we can all achieve in our preferred ways;
- Self. Making time for self care. Choosing a pathway of self growth.
- Community. Volunteering, community events, joining local advocacy groups.
- Others. Albeit in person, over the phone or social media. Connecting with others can combat all sorts of mental health challenges. Meeting up, sharing same interests, colleagues, sports clubs, online gaming.
- Nature. Our connection with nature is as old as days, and a great resource of healing and nurturing self.

Ask R U OK? Any Day because life happens every day. ๐Ÿ’›

A lot can happen in a year, a month, a week. Whether itโ€™s your friend, family member, colleague, partner, or teammate, the people you care about go through lifeโ€™s ups and downs every day.

By having regular, meaningful conversations, you build trust and normalise talking about whatโ€™s really going on, so when the people in your world find themselves struggling, they know youโ€™re someone they can talk to.

So whilst R U OK?Day on Thursday September 12 is our National Day of Action, we encourage you to Ask R U OK? Any Day of the year because a conversation could change a life.
