💨 Did You Know? You Lose Fat Through Your Breath! 🫁

When we think about weight loss, we often picture sweat, exercise, and diet. But here's something surprising: your breath plays a huge role in fat loss! 🤯

How Does Fat Leave the Body?
When we "burn" fat, we're actually breaking it down in a process called oxidation. The fat cells are converted into two main byproducts:

Carbon Dioxide (CO₂)
Water (H₂O)
These byproducts are then eliminated in a couple of ways:

CO₂ leaves the body primarily through the lungs as we exhale.
Water exits through sweat, urine, and other bodily processes.
So, How Much Fat Do We Actually Breathe Out?
Research shows that about 84% of the fat we lose leaves the body as CO₂ through exhalation, while the remaining 16% is removed through water. So each time you breathe, you’re releasing tiny bits of fat! 😲

Why Breathing Matters in Fat Loss 🫀💨
While breathing alone won't replace healthy diet or exercise, these factors work together:

Exercise boosts metabolism, causing you to inhale more oxygen and exhale more CO₂.
Cardio workouts increase your heart rate and oxygen intake, leading to more CO₂ release.
Breathing deeply can support fat loss by ensuring you're maximizing oxygen intake and CO₂ release.
A Simple Breathing Tip 🌬️
Practicing mindful breathing or deep breathing exercises can help optimize this process and reduce stress (which helps regulate hormones that impact weight!). Try taking a few deep breaths every day to help calm your mind and give your body a natural boost in fat elimination!

✨ My mum has been coming to my Tai Chi Fusion class for years now—it’s so beneficial for her balance and provides the gentle movement her body loves. 💚 Lately, after class, we’ve been adding in some extra wellness: Access Bars, Reiki, magnesium baths, and other modalities to really nurture her overall wellbeing.

Today, though, we took things a little further and headed to the beach 🌊. Honestly, it was a mix of doing something for myself and knowing she hadn’t been in a while. So we grabbed a coffee and set off. It was amazing to be present with each other, walking and chatting, feeling the warmth of the sun and reconnecting with nature. ☀️👣

Moments like these remind me how easy it is to get caught up in all the ‘stuff’ we have to do, but slowing down and just being with each other? That’s where the magic is. 🧡 So grateful for this time well spent.
