Your tongue and your toes are more connected than you might think. The fascia, a continuous web of connective tissue, runs throughout your entire body, linking muscles, bones, and organs from head to foot. This network begins at the tongue and jaw, then extends down through the neck, torso, hips, legs, and all the way to the soles of your feet. Because fascia functions as one integrated system, tension or restriction in one area can influence movement and posture elsewhere. That’s why something as small as tongue position can subtly affect balance, alignment, and overall body mechanics.
