Today is World Su***de Prevention Day.

It’s a day to honour the memories of those we’ve lost to su***de and to offer support to those facing difficult times and those living with the grief of losing someone.

The message of ‘Changing the Narrative on Su***de’ encourages us to change how we talk about su***de. To replace silence and stigma for empathy, compassion and action.

We all have a role to play in staying connected, showing up for those we care about and helping those struggling access the support they need.

Show the people around you that you’re there for them by asking 'are you OK?'. Because a conversation could change a life.

Men's health, Chronic Disease management or Acute care, we have the right team member just for you! Dr Pasan is our recently added team member who graduated with his MBBS in 2016 and went on to work across several medical specialties. He has been working in the Emergency Department at Mackay Base Hospital, gaining extensive experience in acute and complex care. He also holds a Diploma in Geriatric Medicine. Dr Pasan has a special interest in caring for the elderly, wound management and skin cancer checks, chronic disease management, paediatrics, and men’s health. He is passionate about providing holistic, patient-centred care to the Mackay community, which he has grown to love for its warm climate and lifestyle. Outside of medicine, Dr Pasan enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends.

One Stop Medical is extremely lucky to have Dr Rebecca Johnson onboard. Rebecca has been living and working in Mackay for the past 6 years. She was awarded an MD (Doctor of Medicine) from the University of Queensland in 2018 and has worked mainly in emergency medicine and orthopaedics since then. She is keen to see all types of patients and has particular interest in looking after children and managing injuries including fractures and wounds. One Stop Medical team would like to welcome Dr Htet Naing. Dr Htet has called Mackay home for the last 3 years. With broad range of clinical experiences and, her gentle and thorough approach to patient care, she has touched hearts of many patients locally. Outside of work, Htet enjoys painting,solving Rubik's cubes, and unwinding with a good Netflix movie. We are lucky to have her in our team and she welcomes new patients.

Today we take absolute pleasure in welcoming Dr Rajaswi (Raju) Sainju to the One Stop Medical family. 🩺
Dr Rajaswi Sainju completed her medical degrees at James Cook University in 2012 and has obtained additional qualifications in skin cancer. She has practised medicine for several years in Mackay (including at the Mackay Base Hospital), Sarina and Prosperine, and has lived in Mackay over two decades. Dr Sainju loves being a GP as this art of medicine takes a holistic approach to touch all aspects of patient health care needs. She has special interest in
