Last week, our Work & Study Team were out and about at Caneland Central with a pop-up stall, connecting with young people and families in the community. It was great to chat about the headspace Mackay Work & Study Program and how we can support young people to build skills, find employment, and reach their study goals.

World Social Work Day 2026! To celebrate, we dressed as our childhood dream jobs! 💼⚽🎨👩‍⚕️ At headspace Mackay, Whitsundays & Sarina our amazing Social Workers provide counselling and support young people may need to navigate life’s challenges and build toward a brighter future.

The theme this year was 'Co-Building Hope and Harmony: A Harambee Call to Unite a Divided Society.' 🌏

We were honoured to welcome Emma McBride, Assistant Minister for Mental Health and Su***de Prevention, to headspace Mackay today.

The visit was a great opportunity to showcase the important work our team does to support young people in the Mackay region. Emma spent time meeting with staff, learning more about the services we provide, and discussing the ongoing need for accessible mental health support for young people in our community.
