Lisa is a qualified Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with eligibility to claim under Better Access from Medicare. Lisa has broad Mental Health experience overseas as well as in Australia since arriving in 2004. She has worked in a variety of settings, including private practice, public health and Not for Profit Organisations in Tasmania and Queensland. She provides a diverse range of psychological and therapeutic counselling services to adolescents (16y and older) and adults of all ages and backgrounds who present with emotional and psychological difficulties. Lisa has a graduate qualification as a Social Worker in the Family services from an overseas University. She also obtained a Masters Degree specialising in Supervision. Lisa would also like to offer supervision to qualified and new graduate Social Workers. The practice will also have opportunities for 4th year SW placements. We’ve had great outcomes applying various psychological intervention models which will fit the person’s needs best. Amongst others, these include Interpersonal Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness and relaxation strategies, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy (ST), Strengths based and Person-centred approaches. These high-quality services are offered to adults and adolescents (16y and older) and service offerings can be in the form of individual sessions, family sessions or group sessions or a combination. We offer affordable fees and accept payments made online, by cash or cheque. Unfortunately, no Eftpos available at this time. Medicare rebates available with a GP referral.
