🌀 Let’s Talk SENSORY!
Have you ever wondered why your child avoids loud noises, seeks out movement, or struggles with certain clothing textures? 🤔
These reactions can be linked to sensory processing — the way the brain receives, organises, and responds to information from the world around us.
Our Paediatric Occupational Therapists work with children who are sensory seekers, sensory avoiders, or somewhere in between — helping them feel more comfortable and confident in their daily environments.
🖐️ We support kids to:
🔹 Understand their sensory preferences
🔹 Develop regulation strategies
🔹 Cope with overwhelming environments
🔹 Feel more calm, focused, and in control
🔹 Have sensory activities incorporated into their daily routines to support focus, engagement, regulation and well-being
Through play-based, sensory-friendly activities like swinging, messy play, deep pressure, and calming routines, OTs create a safe space where kids can explore and build the tools they need to thrive 🌟

Every child processes the world differently — and that’s okay! With the right support, we help them feel safe in their bodies and connected to the world around them 💛
