“📢Is your child starting school in 2027?📢

Our Macksville Prep Class: School Readiness Program is designed to help children build the confidence and skills they need for a smooth transition into primary school.

This small-group program supports children in the year before school to:
• Develop social and communication skills
• Learn classroom routines and expectations
• Build independence in a supportive, structured setting

Key details:
🕙Weekly 2-hour drop-off sessions at our Macksville clinic on a Tuesday
👩‍🏫Led by a qualified teacher and allied health professional
📆Runs across Terms 1 and 2 (Term 4 reserved for reporting and transition support)
🎨Personalised activities and ongoing feedback for families

Families also receive detailed end-of-year reports and optional support for school transitions.

🔆TESS CONNECT were Proud to Present at the 2025 Mid North Coast Family Day Care Conference!🔆

Our Occupational Therapists Imke Devine and Emily Schofield were honoured to present at this year’s Mid North Coast Family Day Care Conference, hosted by Lifetime Connect at The Link Events, Toormina. It was an inspiring weekend celebrating the heart of early childhood education and care!
During their session, they explored how Occupational Therapy (OT) can enrich family day care environments through practical, everyday strategies.
Imke and Emily unpacked the following:
🌀Sensory processing
🤝Regulation and co-regulation
🌈Neurodiversity-affirming approaches
🌿Recognising and supporting diverse developmental needs
👥Effective collaboration between educators and OTs

It was great to seeing educators dive in and explore the sensory tools with so much enthusiasm and excited to hear that educators have begun incorporating them into their centres!🙌🏼

It was wonderful for our team to connect with passionate family day care educators, support staff, and early childhood professionals committed to creating inclusive, responsive, and supportive spaces for children.

A huge thank-you to everyone who attended, contributed, and sparked such thoughtful discussions. Our team are grateful to be part of a community dedicated to wellbeing, innovation, and child-centred care.

🎨A fun and creative social-emotional holiday group for children aged 5-7.
Join us for a warm and engaging holiday program where children build friendships and confidence while exploring emotions through art and craft 🌿🎨

Creative Connections offers a warm, social space where children can explore emotions creativity and friendships
in an enjoyable, relaxed atmosphere. Through playful art and craft activities , children are encouraged to express
themselves, share ideas , and build confidence -with an emphasis on participation and connection rather than artistic ability⭐️

Across the sessions, children will have opportunities to:
🔆Practise emotional awareness
🔆Strengthen social communication and turn-taking
🔆Build confidence in trying new creative activities
🔆 Form positive connections with peers

This group will be facilitated by our Social Worker, Anna.
