Around 70% of all medical decisions rely on pathology. It’s a crucial service that helps doctors and specialists correctly diagnose their patients.
At Laverty Pathology, we’re committed to supporting practitioners by delivering timely, accurate, and high quality diagnostic results. We know that patients all across NSW and the ACT rely on us to collect, analyse, and report results – and it’s a responsibility we take very seriously.
We have a team of more than 2,000 people who work year round to deliver results. Our team includes collectors, couriers, laboratory assistants, scientists, and pathologists, all supported by operations, logistics, administration, data entry, and call centre teams.
While our core laboratory is located in North Ryde, we have around 20 laboratories across NSW and the ACT – many based in hospitals – to ensure we can get results back to doctors as soon as possible. We also have more than 600 collection centres for patients to visit at their convenience. In addition to this, we provide a number of Workplace Health & Safety testing for commercial clients.
Laverty is part of a national network of pathology practices that service communities in metro, regional, and remote areas. Our practices include QML Pathology in Queensland, Dorevitch Pathology in Victoria, Abbott Pathology in South Australia, TML Pathology in Tasmania, and Western Diagnostic Pathology in Western Australia and the Northern Territory. In addition to that, we have a number of specialised laboratories dedicated to genetics, dermatopathology, women’s health, and veterinary pathology. Together, our goal is to provide a comprehensive diagnostic service for all Australians.
At Laverty, we care. And our core values, the behaviours that we strive to exhibit every day, have been named to reflect that. We always look for opportunities to work it together, we demonstrate empathy for everyone, we are committed to excellence, we always act with integrity, we seek to recognise our people, and we embrace innovation.
