👶💙 What a great weekend at The Matrescence Collective’s Bendigo Birth & Baby Expo!

Our Bendigo UFS team loved chatting with so many parents and parents-to-be about how we can help support your family’s health journey - from vaccinations and nursing services to all the everyday care you need.

Allied Health GM Suze and nurse Chrissy wrapped up the day with a presentation on our After Hours Nurse Service (4–9 pm every night) and childhood vaccinations, including exciting news that a nasal spray flu vaccine for kids is coming next year – a total game-changer for little ones!

👏 Big thanks to the amazing team at MooGoo Skin Care for donating gorgeous baby care packs for our door prize and jelly bean guessing competition, and to The Matrescence Collective for organising such a fantastic event for local families.

Well done Suze, Chrissy, and Mac for flying the BUFS flag so proudly! 💙

👶Calling all parents and parents-to-be! Join us at the The Matrescence Collective Bendigo Birth and Baby Expo this Sunday 26th October at Strathdale Community Centre! We'll be there from 10am - 2pm to chat about all the ways Bendigo UFS can support young families. We'll also have lots of free giveaways and the chance to win a baby skincare set from !

Meningococcal B is a rare but serious bacterial infection that has been in the media a lot lately. It more often affects children and teenagers, and can be life-threatening, killing 5 - 10% of patients and leaving 10- 20% of those who survive with brain damage, hearing loss or a learning disability.

The good news is that there is a vaccination against meningococcal B. It's not currently covered by the National Immunisations Program in Victoria (for most people), but can be administered privately by our nurse at Health@Hargreaves.

Happy Allied Health Professions Day! 💙

Today we’re celebrating the power of teamwork in healthcare - when pharmacists, nurses, optometrists and other professionals work together, our community gets the best possible care. That’s what BUFS is all about!

This morning, Jo from our View St Pharmacy joined Suze and Jess for a delicious breakfast hosted by Murray PHN at Quality Lakeside. They chatted all things integrated care and got a sneak peek into the exciting digital changes that will help us support our patients even better in the future.
