Our standard setup we run on our harness racing horses coming back into training. Pacing Steels on in front nailed on with FJ0 and a Pacing Hind nailed on with a Hammerhead size 0. These shoes offer great durability for the horses training on the sand/bluestone surfaces 👌🏻 We often remove the trailer off the Pacing Hinds to reduce the risk of a horse hooking a back shoe off as they start their preparation out in a paddock living with other horses. 🐎 🔨 💪🏻

On Sunday a few of our clients had some great results on Jericho Cup day in Warrnambool! Aaron Purcell and his team went back-to-back in the Jericho Cup with Farag over the marathon distance of 4600m 💪🏻 Mark Greig’s hard work and patience with his mare Sabre Athena was well rewarded taking out the consolation of the Jericho Cup, booking her ticket into the Cup next year 👌🏻 🎫 while Matty Williams had a training double with Flying Done and Colour Our World 🥇 🥇 Jericho Cup day has become a great day of racing in Warrnambool, honouring the men, women and the Light Horses that fought in World War I, where the first Jericho Cup was run in the deserts of Palestine in 1918. Horses were plated in St.Croix Xtra Race Plates, staying the distance 💪🏻 🐎

With the ground starting to firm up, there’s plenty of products available to help our equine friends out. We fitted this Thoroughbred with a half mesh 3D pad and Comfort Hoof Mix Cushion Soft to add some extra support to the back half of the hoof 👌🏻 🐎

A great insight on how our horses hoof can change due to the environment they live in and what we can do to manage them 👌🏻

A Thoroughbred coming back into work with an abscess that had blown out the outside heel which was causing her a bit of discomfort. We fitted her with a Size 6 Concorde Xtra heart bar nailed up with FJ Slims 0. We cut away the damaged hoof wall, using the heart bar to support the rest of the hoof capsule. The inside of the heel is still a bit sensitive so the stable staff will be able to treat it to harden the soft tissue 👌🏻 🐎
