Shout out to the wonderful team inviting me to present at their professional learning day. Responsive Feeding, ARFID, safety, autonomy, and feeding skills were hot topics.

The sharing of knowledge, yummy food, and future focuses were highlights of the day.

Thank you also to Communication Connection Speech Pathology for an intro to keyword signing to support communication with clients.

It ticked all the CPN values today:
Connection, collaboration, care and compassion

Noticed these little guys in our garden. They popped up by themselves.
So red and juicy.

Kids are fascinated by colours, magic, and nature. Throw your food scraps (especially those with seeds) on a patch of dirt at your place. You don't need to do anything else.

If something grows, great! If not, it's no loss and scraps are turned to compost.

Happy scrapping and exploring!

Hard lollies are one of my pet hates. Not only are they terrible for teeth, but they are also a high choking risk. Foods such as Hard lollies, grapes, nuts, sausage, and bread can become lodged and cause a child to choke. Supervision is required when children are eating.

NDIS Changes are coming on the 1st July.
Massive cuts are happening across the board, putting our most vulnerable at risk. Families have already experienced cuts and declined services ... but there are more to come, and NDIS has kept this very quiet!

We need to act quickly to ensure these families aren't the collateral of poorly executed funding cuts - without consultation with the disability and health sector services.
Please sign!!

Who loves warm porridge on a cold morning? 🙋🏼‍♀️ My kiddos love frozen fruit on top as it cools the porridge down quicker. My favourite is date and walnut. What’s your favourite porridge topper?

Colourful food makes me happy. Eating foods I enjoy, in front of my children, is one way I use positive role modelling in our home. There is no pressure to eat these (my kiddos prefer raw carrot and baked potato). They’re served at the table and anyone is welcome to try. These foods make my body feel good and I enjoy the taste from the oven-roasted caramelisation (opposed to boiled). What foods do you role-model at home, without pressure to eat?

Celebrating World Autism Awareness Month!
Diversity is our strength - not a weakness.
Weakness comes from failure to accept, acknowledge, and to care.
Sending love to all families, regardless of their 'flower type'
