It's been a bit quiet here since I drew the world's shortest stick for health conundrums. 😂
But don't worry! I'm back in the studio once again and I've FINALLY caught up on all those amazing humans I had to reschedule whilst I taught my body who's boss. 😂

Hey everyone,

I'm just popping in with a little update about what's going on at the moment.

It seems like I’ve been hit with an epic case of bad luck as I've caught two illnesses in the last fortnight. My immune system clearly didn’t get the memo that I’ve got clients to look after. 😅

After having a bad allergic reaction that swelled my eyes up like a balloon (honestly, that one just felt silly), I've now been hit with a case of Influenza B. I am doing my best to pump meds, drink my water and rest up so I can return to the studio ASAP.

I do apologise for the inconvenience that my repeated bouts of illness have caused. I am doing my best to fit everybody back in at suitable times so everyone gets the dreadlock care they need.

The patience and understanding from those I've contacted already has been so amazing. Thank you to everyone for being such fantastic humans.

I can't wait to get back in the studio and see you all again. 😊

I know it's been a hot minute since I've posted on my socials and I want to say I'm sorry, first and foremost. But hang in with me for one post, yeah?

Today is the 5 year anniversary of my business. I've ridden the highs, the lows, lockdowns, moving to a professional studio space... It is such a journey to run a business and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Thank you to all my clients who have stuck with me through all of those moments. My business is what it is because you trust me to create art with your hair. It's been an absolute pleasure to make you all feel beautiful and uniquely you.

Thank you to my colleagues and professional connections (there's way too many to list) who have supported me on every step of this journey. I have learnt so much from every one of you and I wouldn't be where I am now without you.

Thank you to my family for putting up with my crazy ideas and supporting me regardless. I know you must've all thought I was crazy when I took on this venture but you all stood by me anyways. I couldn't have made it this far without you guys.

So... Here's to 5 years of making art with hair. And bring on the next 5, because I'm ready.

⚡ IMPORTANT UPDATE ⚡

We know it’s late notice, and we’re sooo sorry, friends! 💛
We only got the confirmation this afternoon that there will be essential works happening at the studio this Wednesday, which will require our power to be off.

Unfortunately, we’ll need to close for the day to avoid disruptions.

Most clients booked for Wednesday have already been contacted and rescheduled. For the few remaining, we’ll be personally reaching out tomorrow morning to arrange a time that works for you.
