Navigate systems like health, disability, and community services
Coordinate multiple providers so supports work smoothly together
Advocate for the participant’s rights, choices, and goals

LAC or Support Coordinator. What’s the Difference?

These two NDIS roles are often confused, so here’s a simple breakdown:

Local Area Coordinator (LAC)
LACs help you understand the NDIS, prepare for planning, and connect with local community supports.

Support Coordinator (COS)
Support Coordinators help you put your plan into action by organising services, coordinating providers, and supporting more complex needs.

In short:
LACs guide you into the NDIS, while Support Coordinators help manage your supports day to day.

Need help understanding your options? We’re here for you.

Safer Internet Day 2026 – Staying Safe Online

Safer Internet Day is a reminder that we all deserve to feel safe, supported, and confident online.
For many people in the community, including NDIS participants and their families, the internet can be a powerful tool for connection, services, and support. But unfortunately, it can also be a place where scams and fraud target vulnerable individuals.

⚠️ Common scams to watch out for include:
✅ Fake calls or emails pretending to be from the NDIS, Centrelink or service providers
✅ Requests for personal details or passwords
✅ Offers that seem “too good to be true”
✅ Messages pressuring you to act quickly or urgently

💡 A few simple online safety tips:
• Never share personal or banking information through text or email
• Double-check who you’re speaking with before giving details
• Talk to a trusted support person if something feels unsure
• Report suspicious activity straight away

Stay connected. Stay informed. Stay safe.

Physical Disability Awareness Day: Sunday 1 February

Today we pause to celebrate the strength, diversity and contributions of people living with physical disability and to reflect on how we can build a more inclusive world.

Physical Disability Awareness Day shines a light on the everyday barriers people face, from accessing public spaces to employment and community life and invites us all to be part of positive change.

True inclusion isn’t just about ramps and signs, it’s about respect, opportunity, connection and belonging in every part of life. Whether it’s advocating for accessibility, supporting inclusive workplaces, or simply having open conversations about disability, every action matters.

Together we can challenge assumptions, break down barriers and ensure that everyone can participate fully and equally.

When the pieces don’t quite fit…

Support Coordination helps bring everything together.
The services. The goals. The people. The timing.

Support Coordination is about making sure your supports aren’t just in place — they’re working together in a way that makes sense for your life.

Because when the pieces connect, everything feels a little lighter.
