Mai-Wel's Confidence in the Kitchen program supports NDIS participants to learn practical cooking skills, build independence in the kitchen and share a meal with others in a warm and welcoming environment.

Our popular Dinner Edition also gives participants the chance to cook, connect and share dinner together.

On Thursday 26th March, we were pleased to welcome Deborah McConnell and David Flemming from the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) to our Singleton site to discuss the Parent Pathways program.

It was a valuable opportunity to collaborate with DEWR, share what is working well across the program, and discuss the aspects we most enjoy about delivering this support to participants.

We also explored best-practice approaches, shared insights from our service delivery experience, and discussed our future vision for Mai-Wel and the continued growth of Parent Pathways across our region.

What a night at Low Bar Chorale ๐ŸŽถโœจ

On Thursday, Mai-Wel Cessnock came alive with singing, dancing and an incredible energy that filled the room from start to finish.

The Low Bar Chorale brought the music, the fairy lights were twinkling and our participants and community got up and danced the night away.

Moments like these are what it is all about. Connection, joy and a room full of people just having the best time together.

Thank you to the Low Bar Chorale for such a wonderful evening, and thank you to Corner House Services for collaborating with us on this event ๐Ÿ’›

The Mai-Wel team attended the Maitland Business Chamber's Women in Business 2026 event at Maitland Town Hall today, and everyone came dressed for the occasion ๐Ÿ’—

As Gold Sponsor, Mai-Wel was glad to be part of a room full of incredible women from across the region, and took the opportunity to speak to the programs we offer to support women, and the wider contributions that really do make a difference.

Keynote speaker Kim Payne brought the energy and the big questions about backing yourself in business. Kim spoke about courage and the question that sits behind big decisions: what is stopping you?

And yes, there were pink pom poms โœจ๏ธ

We were also keen to hear the exciting announcement from the Maitland Business Chamber on the day. Stay tuned for more on that!

Thank you to the Maitland Business Chamber for a wonderful event!
