Heart Based Counselling And Social Services Welcome to Heart Based Counselling Services - I am a social worker seeking to open your heart. Authenticity, truth and integrity.

I have my Masters in Social Work and an undergraduate in Sociology - this means I have a good understanding of the intersection between societal conditions and individual need. I am working towards assisting individuals and communities to expand aspects of meaning making, belonging and connection to increase capacity for control and agency in both community and individuals lives. Training:
Mental Health, Addictions, personal development, confidence building, behaviour support and linking in with community programs are just some of the skills behind my training. This includes - counselling, supervision and group work with a framework of practice that follows AASW guidelines and is informed with training in Family Constellation Therapy, Attachment Theory, Circle of Security Parent workshops - both one on one and group work, CBT, DBT and ACT therapy psycho-educational tools and theory as well as art therapy, trauma informed practices and a variety of MH approaches and ecological models that address complexities in family systems. I bring my heart into my practice and receive ongoing positive feedback in assisting people to maintain recovery, develop goals and explore identity and move to a place of wellness and nourishing meaning making in their lives. I can run community groups, healing circles and offer consultancy services to develop workshops to suit your wellness retreats. My work is unique and flexible - I do in person, zoom sessions, outreach and community access work to develop skills and assist you to integrate change into your life - call me and lets change lives together.
