Mastering the Bird Dog: Where Strength Meets Serenity
If youâve ever felt like youâre just wobbling on all fours during Bird Dog, youâre not aloneâand youâre not doing it wrong. Your body might simply be asking for more awareness, more patience, more presence.
This humble exercise is one of the most profound ways to build a resilient core and nurture a happy spine. But itâs not about perfection. Itâs about connection.
How to Practice with Intention
The Foundation: Come to all fours. Feel your hands root beneath your shoulders, your knees beneath your hips. Let your spine find its natural, easeful curveâno forcing, no collapsing.
The Extension: Gently reach your right arm forward and left leg back at the same time. Move slowly, like youâre waking up from a deep rest.
The Invitation: Instead of lifting up, think about reaching outâas if your fingertips and toes are being drawn toward opposite horizons. This lengthens your spine and invites space into your body.
The Anchor: Draw your belly softly toward your spine. This isnât about grippingâitâs about gently stabilizing so your hips stay level and calm.
When Movement Asks for More
Sometimes our bodies whisper that something deeper needs attentionâchronic tension, shallow breathing, a feeling of being disconnected from center.
Thatâs where true healing begins.
I offer a Holistic Massage Therapy experience that listens to your whole self. Through an intuitive blend of Physiotherapy, Ayurveda, and Yoga, weâll explore what your body is really asking forânot just relief, but realignment. Not just release, but remembering.
Each session is designed around you: your breath, your rhythm, your unique path back to ease.
If this resonates, Iâd love to hold space for your healing.
