The wonderful winter winds have kicked up in the subtropical hinterland and the pollen is flyin’!
So I’ll repost my yearly hay fever management advice and hopefully provide you with a few ways to feel better faster.

Start with dusting and vacuuming and washing all bed linens.
Change any air filters .

* Eat local honey and honeycomb This decreases sensitivity to pollens..

If it’s grass pollens that give you most grief limit wheat carrots and tomatoes.
If Ragweed is your nemesis reduce or eliminate zucchini, cucumber, melon (they share a common allergen with ragweed).

Eat plenty of garlic - it’s antibiotic properties can prevent congestion.

Eat ginger as it is anti inflammatory and will help with symptoms.
Drink it in a few cups of fenugreek tea a day and you’ll feel better sooner (throat cleanser, mucus solvent, clears congestion).

If you have a neti pot have at it… or pick up a saline spray to rinse nasal passages - really helps.

Lastly, drink your nettles. It’s not that tasty so add it to juice. Fresh nettle juice is a great natural antihistamine.

Feel better soon… I’m off to take my own advice and start my winter clean (thieves oil for mould, visible and otherwise).

Homemade Oat Milk.
I just use a bit in coffee and for cooking so fresh is best.
Easy - 1/2 cup organic rolled oats
2 cups fresh water
One date or one tbsp of maple syrup
Pinch of Himalayan salt
Blend 45 seconds
Hang in muslin over fine strainer and pour from blender - hang over jug or bowl until first strain completed then do a second strain.
Keep the pulp meal for use in banana pancakes or muffins etc. The milk is super fresh tasting and just a tiny bit sweet. Lovely hour while making the sauce for this evening’s San Choi Bao.

I am Woman.
I am a woman. A green witch. My Grandmother's granddaughter.
I worship the earth I walk upon and it gives me food and medicine - all of the ingredients to have a clean, green, home and a clean body and mind.

I bleed with the full moon - it is my guide to calm and homesteading and the clearing of old and replanting of the new.

I sleep in a moon beam and I awaken feeling more powerful than Zeus with the calmness of grandmother and the clarity of youth.

Moringa (Leaf)
I know I’ve been going on about it for years, but that is because we can never reiterate enough the best the Earth has to offer.
Do your own research and enjoy learning more about the real Tree of Life. ☀️

Moringa has been given an ORAC score of 157,000.
What is an ORAC Score?
It’s ORAC Score is the (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity).
It’s a method developed by scientists at the National Institute of Health and Aging (NIH) to measures the antioxidant capacity of different foods.
The higher the number the better.

Let’s put that score into perspective…

Here are the ORAC scores of a few of the most highly touted antioxidant rich superfoods.
• Garlic - 5,708
• Blueberries - 9,621
• Dark Chocolate - 20,816
... nothing comes close to Moringa’s score.

It’s been used extensively in ancient medical practices like Ayurvedic medicine for more than 4,000 years.

And a single dose of Moringa has…

* 700% more vitamin C than oranges
• 400% more vitamin A than carrots
• 300% more potassium than bananas
• 400% more calcium than cow's milk
* 200% more protein than yogurt
• And 4800% more vitamin B than kale.

Safe - Keep ingestion to the leaves to avoid any contraindications.
Use the seeds to purify water.
Easy to propagate.
Grows fast and without much fuss.

After seeing a number of posts regarding how all you have to do is use AntiViral herbs to defeat covid19, I was going to post an article on the proper use of antiviral herbs, in the protection phase and boosting of the immune system. How viruses don’t have a cell wall and need a host to replicate and how nutraceuticals do not behave the same as pharmaceuticals etc, etc.. but then I read this fabulous article by the Education Director for Learning Herbs, Rosalee de la Forêt, and knew I could not write anything more clear and conscious as she had.

Rosalee also includes her favourite recipe for a fabulous immune boosting tea and gives heaps of information on how to heat up or cool down your symptoms, herbs to help thin mucous not dry it up (it is essential for removing the toxic mess from the body), adding advice on how to effectively use.
Please be proactive. It may help lesson the pain you, a family member or friend has to endure.xx

When I was about 25 I started soaking, sprouting, dehydrating, and learned how to preserve healthy, essential food stuffs in the cleanest and most effective ways.
Following this method (link attached) and others I learned how to feed two adults in less than $5.00 per day. We were vegans then so it was easy if you stayed focused. Still, you could use these foods plus a little meat and fruit and still get by on less than $100.00 a week for a family of 4.
Search out your local farmers, seed savers, bulk organic legumes, nuts and seeds, and start gathering a storage cupboard that could actually save your life during a real emergency. Toilet paper is not going to cut it.
Think long term and live in peace. ❤️
