Which means better access and is all about making life a bit easier, and keeping healthcare local.

Because at the end of the day, what matters most is making sure our lovely locals can get the care they need, close to home.

Influenza vaccinations for the 2025 season are now available. Influenza vaccinations are provided at no cost to eligible populations, including people aged 65 years and over, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, pregnant women, and at-risk individuals over 6 months of age. If you are unsure about your eligibility, please contact Malmsbury Pharmacy at 5423 2226 to consult with our pharmacy staff. Note that bookings are essential and may be made online or by phone.

Very good news for Australian Patient to access their medication by lowering general patient co-payment to $25 instead of $31.60 👏

🚨 NEWS: The government has listened to the Guild’s concerns for the 1 in 5 Australians skipping medication due to cost and has taken action to end the tough choices.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Minister for Health and Aged Care Mark Butler MP have announced a price reduction on all PBS medicines, bringing the maximum out-of-pocket cost for patients down from $31.60 to $25.

The new maximum price will benefit over 20 million patients who don't hold a health or concession card.

And if you ask me, it’s always a good day to thank our hardworking pharmacists, like those at Malmsbury Pharmacy 👏👏

I recently visited Beshr and the team at Malmsbury, who pride themselves on providing the best customer experience and professional advice.

Pharmacists play a vital role in our community’s health and well-being every single day.

And with the Community Pharmacist Pilot, it’s easier than ever to access ongoing care and support.

Malmsbury is one of 10 locally participating pharmacies, and I know it’s made a positive difference, saving locals a trip out of town to visit a GP.

From getting help for uncomplicated UTIs and providing travel vaccinations to treatment for shingles and psoriasis, the pilot is just one of the ways we're helping Victorians access the care you need closer to home.

Last Friday, the team Malmsbury Pharmacy had great time welcoming our local MP Hon. Mary-Anne Thomas MP Minister for Health in Victoria, to discuss the impact of the Victorian Statewide Pharmacist Pilot Program.

This initiative has been instrumental in improving healthcare access for Victorians, particularly in communities like Malmsbury where No GP clinic is located in town for local residents. We highlighted how the program empowers pharmacists to support patients with minor ailments such as urinary tract infections (UTIs), skin conditions (e.g., shingles), Pill prescription refill, and a travel health advice and vaccination administered at one stop destination. These services are bridging critical gaps in primary care, ensuring timely and accessible treatment for our community.

It was an inspiring opportunity to showcase the program’s success and reaffirm our commitment to delivering essential healthcare solutions in regional Victoria.

As of tomorrow Feb 1st, paracetamol pack sizes are changing across Australia. These changes aim to improve medicine safety while ensuring you can still access the pain relief you need.
💊 What you need to know:
✅ Smaller packs in supermarkets - only packs of 16 available in your grocery store
✅ New pharmacy pack sizes - pack sizes up to 50 tablets available on the shelf. You will need to speak to one of our pharmacist team to purchase 100 tablet pack sizes.
✅ Safer packaging requirements - keeping you & your family safe
✅ Changes start February 1st
