The pedestrian crossing beep isn’t just functional, it’s design history in action. Now part of the NFSA - National Film and Sound Archive of Australia's Sounds of Australia Collection, it's reshaped how people who are blind or have low vision are able to navigate independently.

Everyone recognises the locator ‘tick’, vibrating arrow, and steady crossing tone, but not everyone knows the history and importance behind those features.

There’s just ONE WEEK until 100K Your Way kicks off ⏳🙌

We’re thrilled to have Planet Fitness on board for a second year, after Vision Australia client Dale Pierce completed 100km in a day at his local club last year 💛

On April 1, all 100K Your Way participants can access Planet Fitness for free, plus everyone’s invited to their Club Open Day on Monday 13 April! Between 5–7pm, enjoy Member Pizza Night and connect with the Planet Fitness community 🍕

School’s back! Season 3 of Netflix’s is out this week and we loved being invited to a special screening of episode one last night!
With the audio description track playing live in the cinema, Vision Australia clients, staff and members of the Netflix team got an immersive experience of the hit show and a great understanding of how audio description allows people who are blind or have low vision to enjoy on-screen content.
