✨Did you know…. that Embrace House has onsite pathology? ✨🩸 💉 🔬
Our lovely pathology collector Louise is available from 9am to 1pm for all your blood test needs, and we are an authorized collection center for Percept NIPT.
Dreading to do your glucose tolerance test? 🥴. Come and sit in our gorgeous, purpose built waiting room, jump on the wifi and hang out with our crew for 2 hours! 😃
We hope to expand our hours of operation over time, subject to patient demand, so come on over and make Louise busy!

Trigger Warning: Pregnancy loss.
Mother’s Day draws near, and many mums gear up for cuddles, breakfast in bed and macaroni necklaces. Let us never forget those mums, dads and those yearning for the title of mum or dad. Don’t forget the children that were not held, taken home from the hospital, introduced to family and friends, the ultrasounds images that never got acknowedged as babies. Don’t forget the empty arms, longing, hearts ripped out of chests, tears shed. Don’t forget their names. .
To all the brave families that I’ve been part of your journey through grief and loss, know that I remember you, and your babies, and they mattered. .

Work fam. By my side through thick and thin, PPE, tantrums, long days and the odd ♻️ bin audits. They go above and beyond every day and I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished together. Thank you for kicking 2020 in the crotch with me 🥰🥰

I will now be wearing a mask for face-to-face patient encounters. This is different to last lockdown as we have community transmission of 🦠. I
Wearing a 😷protects:
- you from my stinky coffee-breath ☕️
- me, from constantly snacking 🍫 🧁
- may reduce the volume of some of my talking (my kids would be pleased)
- reduces my make-up 💄💋 costs by around 30% (jokes - I hardly ever wear make up - who could improve on this face 😉)
But MOST importantly
- helps slow the spread and protects us all from 🦠
We encourage you to come alone to appointments wherever possible. If you wish to wear a mask too, please feel free, but avoid it touching it/adjusting it and make sure it covers both your 👄 and 👃
Let’s stay safe, look after each other and continue to be effing awesome 🦄

Ask a colleague if they’re ok. Be understanding. Be kind. Take breaks and engage in self care. Have your own GP. Find your tribe. NEVER be afraid to ask for help.

I ❤️ this on so many levels. 1️⃣ As a 👩🏼‍⚕️, I scrub my 🖐 🤚 umpteen times a day, often muttering to myself and staring at the ⏰. It’s about time a had I need a good mantra and way to count time. 2️⃣ Hand hygiene and hand washing is one of our best defenses against , and infections 🦠 in general. 3️⃣ Happy International Women’s Day peeps 💜💜💜. Help reach for by calling out misogyny and unconscious bias where you see it.
