Before and 14 months after deep plane face/ neck lift ( meloplasty and cervicoplasty) and upper blepharoplasties plus fat grafting . The technical approach was made more difficult by complications and scarring from prior lower eyelid and periorbital fat grafting done overseas and medically-induced weight loss during face/ neck recovery leading to the need for several small adjustments of skin laxity over 14 months . I generally encourage patients to complete a weight reduction program before embarking on a face / neck lift to lessen the chance of revisional surgery . Another factor adding to the difficulty of correcting laxity in the face and neck in patients who have lost weight by medication is thinning and wasting of facial and neck muscles.

I was fortunate that this patient trusted in my team and returned for advice of other surgery and this gave me the opportunity to see my work 6 years on .
