Happy Friday the thirteenth šŸ˜„

Long before superstition twisted its meaning, Friday 13th was sacred to the Divine Feminine. It was associated with goddesses of love, magic, fate, sorcery and the day of Venus, the planet of beauty, desire, and feminine power.

The number 13 was never unlucky either.

It was lunar.

There are 13 full moons in a year, and ancient cultures linked this number to the cycles of the Moon, the rhythms of the womb, and the sacred feminine mysteries.

Thirteen represented intuition, transformation, and the power of natural cycles.

But as patriarchal systems began to fear feminine power, these sacred symbols were slowly turned into warnings.

What was once holy became labeled unlucky.
What was once mystical became labeled dangerous.

Friday the 13th is not a curse.

It is a day of lunar magic, shadow work, protection spells, manifestation rituals, and ancestral power.

A day to honor:

• the Divine Feminine
• the witch archetype
• the cycles of the Moon
• the mysteries of intuition and magic

The number 13 was never unlucky.

It was always powerful.

It was always a day to hug a black cat šŸˆā€ā¬›

I love this little reframe .
Nervousness and excitement are physiologically identical—causing rapid heart rate, sweaty palms, and butterflies
Word matter, don't say I'm so nervous.
Always lift your head high and say,
I am so excited about this šŸ˜

Medusa is the archetype of the violated feminine who becomes untouchable. The woman whose pain is rewritten as monstrosity. The face society fears because it reflects something uncomfortable.

Her snakes are ancient symbols of rebirth and cyclical power. Her stone gaze? The paralysis of those confronted by truth.

Medusa asks:
What part of your story was twisted to make you easier to blame?
Where did your softness harden for survival?
Who benefits from calling you ā€œtoo muchā€?

She is not just a monster.
She is what happens when innocence is betrayed and power refuses to stay silent.

And sometimes the real terror isn’t her gaze.
It’s what it reveals.

Too many people reduce Bastet to softness. To incense smoke. To a pretty cat carved in gold.

But Bastet was once lioness.

Before she was associated with domestic cats, she carried solar fire. In early traditions she bore the heat of protection, later balancing the fierce energy often associated with Sekhmet. She represents something powerful: the feminine who has mastered her own ferocity.

That mastery is what resonates.

Bastet energy is not loud. It doesn’t announce itself. It doesn’t perform dominance. It watches. It listens. It senses shifts in tone, in energy, in intention.

She is the woman who can love deeply but will never tolerate disrespect twice.

She is the one who nurtures her home, protects her children, tends her friendships… yet if something threatens what she guards, the softness disappears without hesitation.

This is not moodiness.

This is discernment.

The dark feminine lesson here is sovereignty without chaos. You do not need to rage at every inconvenience. You do not need to be aggressive to be powerful. You become dangerous the moment you are calm and clear.

Bastet teaches:

You can be sensual without being accessible.
You can be kind without being naĆÆve.
You can be warm without being weak.

And most importantly you can withdraw your energy the second it is mishandled.

The cat does not argue when disrespected.
It leaves.

That is power most people cannot manipulate.

If Bastet calls to you, it is because you are learning to:
Hold your softness sacred.
Protect your peace ruthlessly.
And choose who gets access to your devotion.

Devotion is a privilege.

Not everyone deserves to see your claws but everyone should know you have them.

Kali is not only the destroyer of demons.

She is the mother beyond comfort.

In many devotional traditions, Kali is addressed as Ma, Mother. Not because she is gentle in the way we romanticize motherhood, but because she loves fiercely enough to strip you of illusion.

Her devotees do not approach her for surface blessings. They approach her for liberation.

In Ta***ic philosophy, Kali represents the raw, unfiltered force of Shakti, primal feminine energy before it is shaped into something socially acceptable. She stands outside structure. Outside politeness. Outside the need to be understood.

She wears a garland of severed heads, often said to represent the letters of the Sanskrit alphabet. Language. Identity. The stories we build around who we think we are. She cuts through them all.

She stands in cremation grounds because she is present where ego dies. Because transformation is not clean. Because rebirth begins in endings.

And when she places her foot upon Shiva, it symbolizes something profound: energy awakens consciousness. Life moves through stillness. Without her, nothing changes.

Kali’s angle is not rage alone it is radical truth.

She asks:
Where are you clinging to an identity that is already dead?
Where are you mistaking comfort for alignment?
What are you afraid to lose because you think it is you?

To walk with Kali is to consent to transformation at the deepest level.

She will dismantle what cages you even if you built the cage yourself.

And if you call her Mother, you must understand:

She loves you enough to undo you.

It is not always easy, there might be loss of relationships but the alternative is losing yourself.
When someone leaves because you set a boundary its because they gained something from you not having any.

Emotional regulation or emotional intelligence does not mean being calm 100% of the time.
A body that never cries, never shakes, rages , shut down or never erups is not an emotionly regulated body, and for anyone who is already carrying a heavy load through, stress, trauma, greif or illness it can be harmful to not express the big emotions.
A body that is regulated lets those big feelings rise.
Listen to the message the emotion has for you.

Anger = a boundary has been crossed or there is an injustice 😠

Grief = if you are grieving, you are blessed. It means you have loved deeplyšŸ’•

Shame = your moral compass 🧭

Emotional regulation
the ability to monitor, evaluate, and modify emotional reactions to achieve goals, maintain well-being, and respond appropriately to situations. It

Emotional intelligence
the ability to identify, understand, manage, and use emotions positively to navigate social complexities, communicate effectively, and reduce stress
