Melody provides a holistic counselling service focusing on all aspects of the psyche: mental, emotional, physical and spiritual aspects. Melody is a Registered Nurse which includes experience working in mental health and holds a Diploma in Counselling. Melody’s counselling and support is private and confidential.

Hourly consultations are recommended as there is more time to ‘air and share’ which means that the client receives the ‘most’ from the consultation and at other times a half hour consult is only needed to focus on a specific issue.

Counselling work involves a lot of understanding, compassion and empathy and Melody provides a supportive ‘safe space’ for this. One must understand the importance of ‘self healing’ and ‘taking responsibility for one’s own health’. Melody encourages the client to seek further support where necessary for any further mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health need.

The guidance that Melody offer’s is from a professional level and clients seek this guidance for various reasons e.g. Relationships, Grief and Loss, Career decisions, Trauma, Anxiety, Depression and life direction are some and this includes, many other situations that are affecting or are causing distress for the client at the time of the consult. Melody always makes sure that the client is comfortable and would never insist a client discuss topics that they are uncomfortable with.
