👉Plantar fasciitis what is it? 👈
Plantar fasciitis or ‘heel pain’ is inflammation of the ligamentous band that runs from your heel, through the arch and into the toes. It is the most common condition that podiatrists see. 👣
COMMON CAUSES OF PLANTAR FASCIITIS:
🔸High arched foot
🔸Pronated or ‘flat feet’
🔸Injury from impact
🔸Tight muscles- calf and plantar fascia
🔸Change in footwear
🔸Increase or change in activity
👉Treatment options:
Here at camden foot clinic we will complete a biomechanical analysis to diagnose the root cause of your plantar fasciitis and look to not only treat your pain but fix that underlying cause. Some of the treatments we may use include:
✅Heel Padding: Help with reducing the impact forces when walking or running.
✅Shoe Changes: Correct fitting shoe will keep your foot in correct alignment minimizing pressure on your plantar fascia.
✅Low-Dye Strapping: Assist the plantar fascia by acting as a secondary support for your feet.
✅ Functional Orthotics: Will correct gait abnormalities that increase torsional pressure to your plantar fascia and help with support when walking.
✅Exercised at home to help
✅Calf stretches- Daily
✅Spiky Ball: Massaging the foot muscles to release tension between the toes and aiding in pain management.
If you suffer from Heel pain call our team TODAY! 😉
