Markets + Pan au chocolat + decafe soy = happy gal
There was a time that I felt terribly guilty when I wanted to eat a croissant. I hoped no one would see. I hoped I wouldn’t gain weight. I’d feel fat after it. I’d then eat barely anything for the rest of the day knowing how many calories was in one.
I know you’ve probably had the same thought. Maybe with croissants like me, possibly bread, pasta, chocolate, ice cream… am I right?
The thing is, the food isn’t the demon. It’s societal norms for what’s healthy, what a hot body looks like and what’s expected of the women. It’s our terrible frame of mind that’s skewed from marketing. Selling us one way of a sexy body, a thousand different diets and how the woman should be/act/do.
Eating the croissant does less damage than all the pressure you put on yourself, the hurtful talk you tell yourself, the low frequency of guilt you end up in.
Women have got to take the pressure off themselves. To eat the things you enjoy without the guilt and shame.
Keep your vibes high while you eat the things you love. Don’t let pressure yourself. Enjoy life. It’s yours to live 🥐
