So we know we have blockages but how did they get there? One word, STRESS

When we don’t release stress it gets stored in our nervous system as a blockage in our spine - often in the Base Gateway (our tailbone) or the Centre Gateway (the thoracic spine behind the heart).

We don’t notice this stored stress - but we do notice symptoms like pain, headaches, low energy, auto-immune conditions and unresolved feelings of worry, anxiety and depression.

So what is Spinal Flow?

Spinal Flow is a gentle hands on modality that helps to release blockages that have formed within the central nervous system.
We work with access points on the cranium and spine to connect with the nervous system.

We are exposed to many forms of stress, be it physical, emotional and chemical. Our bodies are not designed to withstand the barrage of stress for prolonged periods of time.

Sometimes we are unable to process these stresses so we store them in the nervous system, to be released at a later time when they are able to be processed.

But in storing them it causes blockages within the nervous system which can lead to pain, disease and illness.

As a Spinal Flow Practitioner we work with the brain and central nervous system and the body’s own innate wisdom to release these layers of stress and remove blockages to allow the body’s own innate intelligence to facilitate healing.

Welcome to South West Spinal Flow.
I thought I’d introduce myself so you know the face behind the name.

My name is Kylie Mahar. I am your Spinal Flow Practitioner.
I have lived in Mandurah for 54yrs since I was a bubba. As you can imagine I’ve seen many changes with our lovely City, Mandurah. Apart from a couple of years in QLD Mandurah has always been home to me.

I am married with a lovely husband and 16 year old son and a fur baby, Lucy and a new adopted fur baby Suki❤️

So how did I get here. About 25yrs ago I worked locally as a vet nurse. During that time I became interested in alternative therapies. I was keen to see if there alternatives to long term steroidal and antibiotic medications. After 5 years as a vet nurse I decided to pursue my interests further and left vet nursing to study clinical aromatherapy and massage, which I kind of fell into. So instead of helping the 4 legged variety I swapped over to the 2 legged variety and started an aromatherapy massage business.

Since falling pregnant with my son in 2008 I folded up the massage table and began my wonderful role as a mother.

Fast forward to 2023. I always imagined I would get back into some kind of healing modality. I ended up studying the Spinal Flow Technique and became a fully qualified Spinal Flow Practitioner. 🩷🙏

So there it is and South West Spinal Flow was born.

I look forward to sharing more about Spinal Flow and how it can help you live your best life.
