Eczema may not have a cure, but it’s treatable! Here are some tips to help you manage flare-ups and keep your skin healthy:

Treatment Tips:
✔️ Moisturise daily, even when your skin is clear. Thick ointments or moisturisers are best.
✔️ Use steroid creams as prescribed by your doctor to manage flare-ups.
✔️ Control itching with antihistamines, cold compresses, and avoid scratching.
✔️ Prevent infections with antibiotics, if recommended.

Prevention Tips:
✔️ Identify triggers and avoid them.
✔️ Use moisturisers without chemical additives.
✔️ Keep baths and showers short and not too hot.
✔️ Rinse off chlorine after swimming and avoid overheating.

Spring Clean Your Medicine Cabinet!

With Spring in full bloom, it's the perfect time to clean out your medicine cabinet. Here are some important tips to ensure your medications are safe and effective:

🔹 Check expiration dates on all medications, vitamins, and supplements. Expired items can lose potency or even become toxic.
🔹 Follow the 1-year rule for prescriptions and discard anything older.
🔹 Toss items that have changed colour, smell, or taste.
🔹 Unmarked containers? If you can't identify it, it’s time to dispose of it!
🔹 Don’t throw medications in the trash or flush them! Bring them to our pharmacy for safe disposal.
🔹 Relocate your medicine cabinet. The bathroom isn’t the best spot due to temperature and humidity changes. Opt for a cool, dry place instead.
