It's been big week for Recycling with Brody
After an amazing write up from the Baldivis Times
Brody had a big spring in his step.

Tuesday collections were great — Brody welcomed a couple of new members joining the Recycling with Brody family and Brody was able to purchase his fourth Containers for Change WA bin

Last night at the TJK Events Food Trucks down at Black Swan Lake in Lakelands was a fantastic turnout! Thank you to everyone who used Brody’s bins

This Saturday afternoon, Recycling with Brody will be at the City of Mandurah Music in the Burbs in Coodanup. It’s always such a great family event, and Brody is excited to be part of it again, keeping the event clean.

And on Sunday, you’ll spot Brody's bins at both The Peel Produce Market at Mandjar Square and the Mandjar Markets Mandurah along our beautiful Eastern Foreshore.

Thank you to every single member and supporter of Recycling with Brody — your kindness helps Brody grow his micro-enterprise and build his confidence and independence.

♻️ MEET BRODY: THE LOCAL LEGEND TURNING CANS INTO CHANGE

Every now and then, someone in our community does something so honest, so heartfelt, and so full of good…
that it reminds us what community really means.

Today, we want to introduce you to Brody - the young Baldivis/Mandurah local behind Recycling with Brody, a growing Containers for Change micro-enterprise that’s changing lives one container at a time.

And trust us… you’ll want to read this. 👇

Brody is a young adult living with disabilities, and instead of letting barriers define him, he chose to build something meaningful. With the help of his mentor, he created “Recycling with Brody,” a business designed around his strengths:

✔️ being outdoors
✔️ connecting with people
✔️ protecting the environment
✔️ building confidence and independence

What started as a simple idea has now become a true community success story.

🚚 What Brody Does Every Week

Across Mandurah, Rockingham, and surrounding areas, Brody collects Containers for Change items from:

🏡 Homes
🏢 Local businesses
🎪 Events + markets (including Peel Produce Markets, Mandjar Markets & more!)

Thousands of containers are saved from landfill EVERY week.em to refund points, and never misses a run, always with the biggest smile!

And the results?
Hundreds of containers are saved from landfill EVERY week.
A community documentary made about his journey.
And a growing network of people cheering him on.

💚 Why This Matters

Brody’s micro-enterprise is more than recycling:
It’s independence,
It’s inclusion,
It’s purpose,
And it’s a reminder that when we lift each other up, our whole community becomes stronger.

Set up this afternoon at City of Mandurah – Music in the Burbs in Madora Bay! From 330 to 630pm there are fun and games, Live music, the coffee van brewing, and the Lions Club cooking up a sausage sizzle. A great community event proudly organised by the Madora Bay Community Association— and it’s shaping up to be a beautiful afternoon.

Come down, soak up the tunes and the atmosphere… don't forget to keep the green clean by popping your eligible cans and bottles into one of Brody’s Containers for Change WA bins on site.

💚 It’s National Recycling Week! 💚

This week is all about celebrating the power of recycling and the difference it makes — and no one shows that better than Brody! 🙌

Brody’s out on his regular collection run today, doing his part with Recycling with Brody, collecting bottles and cans from local businesses and residential homes across the community. 💚

Each collection not only helps keep our environment clean, but also promotes inclusion and meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

A huge thank you to all the amazing locals and businesses who continue to support Brody’s mission — together, we’re turning small actions into big impact! 💪

🍔 Tonight Brody's Containers for Change WA bins are at Eros Place Reserve, San Remo for the awesome TJK Events Food Trucks — the perfect way to kick off your weekend!
And don't forget to drop your empty eligible recyclables in the Brodys bins.

🌙 Saturday night you’ll find us at the Secret Harbour Night Markets at Secret Harbour Oval!

☀️ Then Sunday we’re back out at The Peel Produce Market and the Mandjar Markets Mandurah — two great spots to soak up the sunshine and support local!

The weather’s on our side — come enjoy the open air, good vibes, great food and local stalls.

We’re welcoming Down to Earth Training & Assessing RTO 51199 Rockingham as one of Brody’s newest Containers for Change collection partners!

One of Brody’s brand-new Containers for Change WA recycling bins has been placed in their crib room — helping turn empty cans and bottles into change 💰 and supporting Brody’s recycling micro-enterprise.

A big thank you to the DTE team for jumping on board and supporting the Brody's mission! 🙌

The Peel Produce Market in Mandjar Square (9am–1pm) and for the first time at the Mandjar Markets Mandurah at the iconic Mandurah Foreshore (9am–3pm).

We absolutely love it when our beautiful community comes together. Recycling with Brody has been invited to another amazing local event.

Brody’s bins will be out next Friday the 31st October, 4–7pm at Quarry Park, for the Meadow Springs Halloween Trick or Quest.

Bring the family down for some great fun & games, prizes, there is even a haunted bridge, and the always delicious TJK Events Food Trucks!
