This role involves supporting participants in the community, so clear English communication skills (spoken and written) are essential for safety, understanding care plans, and building strong relationships.

This June, I’m taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout, and it’s something that’s deeply personal to me.

As a young teenager, I was kicked out of my home and experienced firsthand how quickly life can unravel without stability or support. I know how isolating and frightening that time can be, and how much even a small act of kindness can mean.

By taking part in this event, I’m hoping to help make a difference, even if it’s just for one person. Your support will help people facing homelessness find safety, dignity, and hope.

We spent all day Saturday, doing a rubbish removal and clean up.
Our clients mean the world to us, so we jump in when needed.

✨ A little hello from us ✨

We’ve been a bit quieter on here recently, and we wanted to share why.

Behind the scenes, we’ve been busy onboarding new participants and making sure each person is receiving the right supports and has time to settle in comfortably, with no concerns. Doing this properly matters to us, and we never rush that process.

At the same time, we’ve also welcomed another group of absolute superstar support workers to our team 🌟 As always, our onboarding is 100% compliance-focused, so it can take a little time, but it’s worth it to ensure everyone feels safe, supported, and confident from day one.

We’re here, we’re proud of our team, and we’re genuinely so excited to be supporting our amazing participants as they settle in 💙

We’re looking for compassionate and reliable Support Workers to join our team providing in-home and community access supports to NDIS participants.

If you have a genuine passion for helping others and a strong commitment to quality care, we’d love to hear from you.

Requirements

✅ Certificate III (or higher) in Individual Support, Community Services, Disability, or equivalent experience
✅ Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
✅ NDIS Worker Screening Check
✅ National Police Check (current within 12 months)
✅ Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
✅ Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
✅ Valid driver’s licence and full comprehensive car insurance (not third-party)
✅ Australian citizenship or permanent residency
✅ Excellent communication, professionalism, and teamwork

About the Role

You’ll support participants with:

Daily living and personal care

Community access and transport

Building independence and achieving personal goals

Casual rate: $41.14 per hour (plus penalties & super)

We uphold high standards of care and expect our team to follow our “no phones while on shift” and professional presentation (QR uniform) policy.
