I have lived on the Sunshine Coast since 2012, short time after relocating I changed careers from being a school bus driver to massage therapist qualifying locally in 2013. 2016 I completed Diploma in remedial massage at Q Academy. I branched out from massage a little in 2017 and found Cr

aniosacral therapy and it’s benefits. So 2019 qualified with diploma in Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy. Following my hunger for knowledge I have delved into the world of functional health. I have a holistic approach to health and practical ways you can apply to your everyday life. Some Benefits of Massage

Massage is known as complementary therapy which is used widely in the community in the prevention and management of a range of disorders. Based on holistic principals it’s essentially practised to improve the health status of individuals. I have found regular massage is the key to managing our general well-being. As nutrient supply to muscles is increased, repairs to damaged tissue and recovery from fatigue (via lactic acid removal) can take place. Massage stimulates natural pain relief and the circulation of lymph, aiding the immune system. Massage improves all-over body functions, reduces adhesions and maintains flexibility.

Life is already breathing you.

Beneath the muscles, tissues, and thoughts lives an intelligent force continually moving the body toward balance, healing, and restoration.

The smart body listens, adapts, protects, and remembers.
Every breath reflects the state of the nervous system.
Every moment of stillness creates space for repair.

In biodynamics, healing is not forced. It is supported through presence, breath, rhythm, and awareness.

When we slow down enough to listen, the body begins to soften, regulate, and reconnect with its natural wisdom.

The body is not separate from life — it is life expressing itself through breath, movement, rhythm, and stillness.

Nerves regulate extremity blood flow via the autonomic nervous system, which constricts or dilates blood vessels to manage temperature and oxygen delivery.

In this case, post break and surgery. The nerves were impinged, prohibiting blow flow, there for lymph flow as the vessels were constricted. When we break a bone our body has a mast cell reaction so it can send the right immune cells to the break, ‘smart body’ however this reaction can’t last a while. When it does the joints become stiff, immobile, tissues losing hydration and becoming atrophied, as the hand remained swollen, elbow bent, shoulder locked on. Brain involved protecting it. Labelled with a syndrome.

Where does lymph come in? As a guide to me (No different to meridians to an acupuncturist) to manage the hierarchy of needs so function can resume and healing can happen.. It is not seperate from the whole, it comes from blood and returns to blood. If it is congested the nerve flow leading to good quality blood flow is lacking and the healing time is delayed.
Clean up the congestion, open the pathways work the entire chain. The hand can’t drain over speed bumps.

Lymph is a clear watery fluid, that acts as the body’s secondary circulatory and sewerage system, responsible for maintaining fluid balance and supporting immune defense.

It originates from blood plasma that leaks out of capillaries into the “in-between spaces” of the body—the interstitial spaces—surrounding cells and tissues.

While most fluid returns to the blood, about 3 liters of this protein-rich liquid, along with waste and bacteria, are collected daily by the lymphatic system to be filtered and returned to the bloodstream.

This system requires movement, muscle contraction and breathe to function. It is an internal pressure system that can be stimulated using various forms of pressure.

Have you checked the function of your lymph lately?

Your lymphatic system is there to help recover, heal, clean up cellular waste. When given the right instructions it expediates recovery post surgery.

Today was the first of potentially many lymphatic workshops brought to you by

I want to thank .of.earth for introducing some breath work techniques to today’s group. Everyday in my clinic, I persistently encourage everyone to breathe through every step. Every breath you take is impactful, therefore when encouraging your lymphatic system to move, every breath you take is vital.

Thank you again to everyone who participated today. Knowledge is wealth. Health is wealth. Our body’s are smart but the more we learn about our bodies the more we can conversate towards a richer life.
