We’re pleased to welcome Dr Yliana Dennett to South Steyne Medical Centre.

Dr Dennett is an experienced General Practitioner with a strong focus on women’s health, mental health and preventative care. She has a particular interest in supporting women through all stages of life, including perimenopause and menopause, and provides personalised, evidence-based care tailored to each patient.

Dr Dennett holds Fellowship of the RACGP and has additional training in sexual and reproductive health, family planning and travel medicine. Her clinical experience spans hospital medicine, emergency care and work in remote communities, giving her a broad and well-rounded approach to general practice.

She will be joining the other consulting doctors as part of both the SSMC Perimenopause & Menopause Clinic and the SSMC Travel Medicine Clinic, supporting patients with structured, comprehensive care in these areas. As well as standard GP appointments.

She offers a range of services including women’s health checks, contraception (including IUD and Implanon procedures), antenatal care, chronic disease management and general medical care.

Dr Dennett is known for her warm, thoughtful approach and her commitment to building long-term relationships with her patients.

We’re pleased to welcome Dr Richard Curran, an experienced General and Laparoscopic Surgeon, now consulting at South Steyne Medical Centre in Manly.

Dr Curran has extensive experience in general surgery, with a strong focus on gallstone disease, including laparoscopic gallbladder surgery. He brings a patient-centred, evidence-based approach and works closely with GPs to ensure continuity of care.

Measles update - Northern Beaches

If you or your child have symptoms please call ahead before arriving at South Steyne Medical Centre.

There has been an increase in measles cases reported in Sydney.
Measles is a highly contagious viral illness that spreads through coughing and sneezing.

Symptoms may include fever, cough, sore eyes, and a red blotchy rash.

You may wish to speak with a GP if:
• You’re unsure about your measles (MMR) vaccination status
• You’ve been exposed to someone with measles
• You’re planning travel
• You or your child develop symptoms

If you are unwell or have a rash, please call the clinic before attending so appropriate precautions can be taken.

If you’d like personalised advice, a GP can review your vaccination history and discuss next steps. If you are planning on travelling overseas or have returned from overseas and have any concerns then doctors at the Manly Travel Medicine Clinic can assist you.
