Our Patient and Family Christmas event truly would not have been possible without the generosity, kindness, and time of so many amazing supporters.
A heartfelt thank you to the 🤡 Clown Doctors Australia, 🎅Bucketty's Brewing Co. (Santa), and the🚓 NSW Police Force Highway Patrol for creating such special moments, unforgettable experiences, and wonderful entertainment for our patients and families.

We are so grateful to 🍦Ben & Jerry's for their incredible ice cream station. A very special thank you to Palm Beach Kindy, Avalon Public School, and BAU Construction Group for their generosity, providing beautiful gifts for our facility following their Christmas Donation Drives.

🎄 SEASONS GREETINGS FROM AYAH! 🎄

What a joy it was to celebrate the season together at our AYAH Christmas party, surrounded by laughter, connection, and the incredible community that makes our work possible. We were joined by Santa, the Clown Doctors, NSW Police Highway Patrol and Ben and Jerry's to make it that much more special.

As we enter the festive season, the AYAH team wishes you peace, warmth, and good spirits over the holidays and into the New Year.

We are grateful to our patients and families, our dedicated staff and volunteers, and our generous supporters and partners. Your commitment has made a real difference in the lives of young people and families in our care.

💙 A well-being weekend for AYAH dads 💙

Our first Fathers’ Retreat in September brought together an incredible group of dads for a weekend of connection, laughter, and support.

Sausage Sizzle Success! 🌭🔥

What a day! Nearly 600 sausages were served at our Bunnings Balgowlah sausage sizzle, with all proceeds going to support AYAH.

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers, staff, Bunnings Warehouse Australia, and of course all the hungry customers who stopped by for a sausage (or two!). We couldn’t have done it without your energy, kindness, and community spirit.

We would like to give a special shoutout to MD Fresh for donating many, many kilos of onions.

This month, AYAH staff took part in a restorative sound healing session led by Ali Skiba (Instagram: ). The session was generously donated by Ali as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting staff wellbeing.

Drawing on her own experiences with anxiety and depression, Ali shared the sound-based practices that have supported her personal recovery and balance.

“When I learned about AYAH, I couldn’t not reach out. It felt like a full-body ‘yes’ to offer something nurturing for the community,” she said.

We’re grateful to Ali for creating a calm and reflective space for our team, and for reminding us of the importance of stillness and self-care.

Sausage Sizzle for a Cause! 🌭💛

This Sunday 19 October, 9am–4pm, we’ll be firing up the BBQ at Bunnings Balgowlah to raise funds for the Adolescent and Young Adult Hospice (AYAH) in Manly.

🩷CELEBRATING ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONS DAY 🩷

Today we’re celebrating the incredible allied health professionals who make a difference every day.

At AYAH, a wide range of allied health disciplines support patients aged 16–30 living with a life-limiting illness, as well as their carers and families.

These disciplines include art therapy, music therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech pathology, dietitian consultations, social work, clinical psychology, grief and bereavement counselling, and pharmacy.

Each discipline provides compassionate care tailored to every individual’s needs, helping young people live with comfort, dignity, and connection.

Thank you to all allied health professionals for your skill, compassion, and dedication to care.
