Shining star support services have some availability to take on new NDIS & My Age care participants. Our Mental health mentor has some availability as well. Our office is in Mannum. We assist participants in Mannum, Murray Bridge and surrounding areas. If you have a NDIS plan and are plan managed or self-managed. Or have a plan managed leveled My age care package or self-managed leveled My age care package. We may be able to assist you. Please contact us for a chat.

SW Cheryl supported Miss C on her holiday away to Robe last week. Beautiful weather allowed lots of walking and exploring. The ladies were lucky to spot some local wildlife as well as the beautiful coastline.

It’s Invisible Disabilities Week (19–25 October)! 🌻

Around 80–85% of people with a disability have one that isn’t visible. These include neurological, cognitive, sensory, mental health, and chronic conditions that aren’t always immediately apparent.

Not all disabilities are visible — but a little understanding and kindness can go a long way in making everyone feel seen and supported.

SW Jody and Miss A embracing a few showers yesterday to have a walk and get in some exercise. A little bit of daily exercise is great for mental health. Walking releases Endorphins: These are natural mood lifters that help reduce stress and improve mood.
Then home to give the dogs a practice run for Halloween. I think the ladies had fun, what do you think?

SW Bindi and Miss A out and about, exploring and learning the meanings for the totem poll and blue tree. Then Bindi went through and helped with the pronunciation of the Ngarrindjeri words for the birds on the sign with Miss A.
