The vagus nerve, the longest nerve in the body, originates in the brainstem and extends down into the abdomen. It monitors and receives information about the functioning of the heart, lungs, and other internal organs so that you can focus attention on other matters.

😔It's sad to see attempted psychological manipulation within society on a variety of levels. Some, perhaps don't realise they are doing it as it has also been perpetrated on them and they are repeating what they have heard without an understanding of what they are really doing.

It may look like:
➤using fear to control you
➤guilt tripping you into conformity
➤gaslighting to weaken the mind and make you question yourself
➤isolation
➤intimidation
➤cognitive dissonance whereby creating conflicting beliefs in your mind
➤social proof by providing evidence that others are conforming
➤bait and switch to compel you to do something but then change the parameters afterwards
➤triangulation to create a divide between people
..and many more. Below I have attached an article on some ways at how you may be psychologically manipulated. Once you are aware then you can change the outcome and make different choices.

🤯It's important to keep an open mind. Beliefs can change when you learn new information. You can't be open to different possibilities if you are unconsciously looking for confirmation bias. If I'm triggered by new information, results or a perspective then I look at why I'm triggered. Has it gone against my current beliefs or is it something that I don't want to believe?

❤️Awareness is key. Once you are aware of the manipulation against you or towards someone then you can change it.

🥰Be kind and compassionate. Afterall, you never know if those people you once thought were crazy are actually the ones that you will join down the track. When new information comes to 💡new beliefs can be formed.

Manipulation techniques are a powerful tool that some individuals may employ to influence and control others for their own gain.

Why I started Mindful Healing Toolkit

As a mother and a teacher, I understand the stresses that both roles bring. Over the past 17 years working as a teacher, I have seen an increase in stress and anxiety in teachers, students and their families. I myself witnessed firsthand how trauma and anxiety impacts families, when my son’s biological mother suddenly and tragically passed away. He became riddled with anxiety, which at times was so bad, I struggled to get him to school or drop him off. This is when I knew I had to embark on a journey to find a solution.

So began my life’s mission, which has taken me down the path of learning everything I could in order to find a solution. This is when I became to understand the importance of finding and learning different healing techniques. Using a powerful combination of a range of techniques, I was able to help my son overcome his anxiety and regain his self-belief and confidence. This learning has also allowed me to be able to help change the lives of those I have been blessed to work with, by creating powerful emotional shifts that are truly life changing and have a long-lasting impact.

I have also used this powerful healing to help improve my own health. As an asthma sufferer, using these modalities I have been able to decrease my usual 4-5 puffs of medication a day to only 1-2 puffs a week. By working on resolving the underlying issues that cause my asthma and using the powerful techniques I have learnt. I have also used them to help change my negative beliefs that I had around food, eating habits and losing weight.
