Sewing with Amber offers beginner sewing lessons and workshops Welcome! Wind down, slow down, recharge and create! Sewing brings me peace. It’s how I switch off.

If I am stressed or overwhelmed or just sick of the world ticking way to fast, I put on some music and sit at my sewing machine. Sewing is my happy place. That’s what I want to share with you! How did Sewing with Amber start? These classes were created after a fellow Mum’s request to teach her how to sew. Since that request, I started a small class and taught at the local Community Centre. It was an all new experience and way outside my comfort zone, but I am so glad that I did because since that first class, Sewing with Amber has evolved into what it is today. I came to discover that people want a space to create in an environment free from stress and technology. A place to recharge and learn and become immersed in a skill that has the ability to allow people to express who they are through their projects. I also get to meet some of the most amazing people.

Our sewing circle takes place on Tuesday evenings from 6-8pm at the Green Shed in Marburg.

All levels welcome

Address: 112 Queen Street, Marburg.

When: Tuesdays – weekly, minus the first Tuesday of the month

Time: 6-8pm

Cost: $25 per session

Join us tonight Friday 5/09/25 at 6pm at The Green Shed for a relaxed evening of sewing, chatting, and community!

Bring along a project you're working on and enjoy connecting with fellow makers. Whether you're stitching, mending, or just there for the vibes – everyone is welcome!

Feel free to bring a plate to share, or simply enjoy some tea, coffee, and sweet treats provided.

Cost: $10 – Pay on the night.

Our Story

The classes were created after a fellow mum’s request to teach her how to sew. Since that request, I started a small mums and bubs sewing class. It was loud and sometimes chaotic, but it was inspiring and it was what we needed as busy mums, as a place to chat and learn and build each other up.

A bit about me; My love of sewing dates back to when i was a young girl. After spending many hours making and designing for my friends, family and myself, I decided to study Fashion design and manufacture, so I could learn how to do it properly.
