It’s my birthday — and with that, BlissOut Living is gently closing its doors and moving into holiday rest until January 5th.
And as another year draws toward its closing, not yet complete, yet thoughts of the new already churning. I can feel the threshold opening, the pause in between the spaces where reflection and renewal quietly meet.
This year has asked a lot of us — individually and collectively. Many of you have shared how heavy the world has felt uncertain, unjust, fragile. In times like these, the instinct to turn away, to shut down, or to move through life on autopilot is deeply human.
And yet, again and again, this community chooses to turn toward.
Toward practice.
Toward compassion.
Toward staying present, even when it would be easier not to.
There is a truth I return to often when I am looking for the outside to present me with what I need. Life is what happens while you are busy making plans or while you are waiting for someone else to be your hero and woven through that is something deeper and more soulful the truth that you are the one you have been waiting for all along.
This season meets each of us differently. For some, it is light and celebratory. For others, it is tender, heavy, or quiet. As the year softens toward its close, we are invited to witness what has been, and to sense what is quietly gathering for what comes next.
Wherever you are right now, I invite you into a simple moment:
Feel your feet on the earth beneath you
Take one full, unhurried breath in and out
Offer a gentle wish for your own well-being, and for the well-being of all beings
Then ask yourself, softly and honestly are you living your life as if it is sacred? As if it has value? As if it truly means something?
Because it does.
Your presence is not accidental.
Your life is not on pause.
You are not behind.
This community is living proof that practice is not an escape from the world, but a way of engaging with it more openly, more lovingly, and more awake.
Thank you for being here, exactly as you are.
May this season bring you warmth, connection, and deep rest.
I look forward to holding you all again when BlissOut reopens on January 5th, as we step into the New Year together.
With gratitude,
Danielle.
