The goal of remedial massage is to reduce pain, increase mobility and relieve stress. A couple of appointments left this week.

Because every person is unique, a variety of approaches may be used to address individual needs.

Each treatment begins with a consultation and based on our discussion, I use a variety of the following techniques to correct the issue.

Deep tissue massage. This approach is slow and penetrates gently and firmly into the deeper layers of body tissue to release pain and tension.

Shiatsu technique uses thumbs, elbows, palms, specific points and sustained pressure to create change and deep relaxation.
Reflexology focuses on pressure points in the feet to affect whole body healing and relaxation.

Stretch therapy may be included in your treatment giving you strategic self care techniques to do at home. Stretch therapy is both diagnostic and corrective. All or some of the above techniques may be used in your treatments.
