🧠💬 AOD Workshop – Building Skills, Breaking Stigma

In May, we hosted an Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) workshop, a practical, engaging session for local community members and service workers in Margaret River.

Together, we unpacked the complex realities of substance use, explored harm minimisation strategies, and gained tools to better support those experiencing challenges related to alcohol and other drugs.

Workshops like this are about more than just information—they’re about connection, compassion, and community readiness.

A big thank you to everyone who took part, asked the tough questions, and showed up with open hearts and minds 💛

🌈 International Non-Binary Peoples Day 💛🤍💜🖤

Today, we celebrate non-binary people everywhere, those who exist outside the traditional binary of male and female. We honour the richness, strength, and diversity that non-binary identities bring to our communities.

To be non-binary is to live authentically, sometimes in between, beyond, or completely outside of gender norms. It’s not always easy in a world built on binaries, but your existence is powerful. You deserve to be seen, heard, and supported, not just today, but every day.

To our non-binary friends, community members, and loved ones:
We see you.
We stand with you.
We’re grateful for you 🌱

Let’s continue building a world where everyone feels safe to express who they are, without fear or limitation.

🖤💛❤️ NAIDOC Week | 7–14 July 2025

NAIDOC Week is a time to recognise and celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

It’s also a time to listen. To learn. To reflect.

As shared on naidoc.org.au:

'The fire represents the enduring strength and vitality of Indigenous cultures, passed down through generations despite the challenges of colonisation and ongoing injustices.'

At Mindful Margaret River, we pay our deepest respects to the Wadandi people of the Noongar Nation. We honour their unbroken connection to Country, culture, and community.

This week, and every week, we invite our community to stand in solidarity, learn from First Nations voices, and engage in meaningful steps towards truth, justice, and healing.
