Cowaramup ❤️

The warmer weather is among us and due to request from our community I will start teaching outdoor yoga in Cowaramup!

Aiming to start with a trial on Friday 28th October from 7-8am.

I live across the road from this beautiful oval and have always thought what a fabulous place to share a yoga practice, and now is the time to do so! Yay!

We will meet at the oval on Currawong Street (in Parkwater) . I’ll have a bag of mats and blocks but of course feel free to bring your own.

These classes are open to all levels of experience, beginner friendly and injury friendly. Modifications are always an option to ensure you feel supported through your practice.

If you are keen to come along, please message me your interest and so I can gauge numbers and have an awareness of our group 🙂

So looking forward to sharing this next little chapter with you and make the most of nature, literally on our doorstep!

Very excited to announce that I’ll be back sharing Classical Hatha Yoga weekly in Margaret River.

Wisdom of the body

Traditionally we think of wisdom as a trait that's generated through the mind or through lived experience. That may partly true, but there's also a wisdom which is experienced only through the body.

When we move our bodies in conjunction with conscious breath, we open up our cells ability to communicate with us. We are able to receive insights and have realisations that go way beyond the capability of the rational thinking mind. If you've combined conscious connect breathwork and movement, then you know what I'm talking about!

The issue is, our bodies live in a predominantly contracted state. Which means our cells are contracted and unable to express themselves fully. Through movement and breath we begin to unwind the layers of contraction and create an internal environment for our own inner wisdom to emerge!

And just like that, dad was gone. What a fabulous couple weeks we have had. Little sisters birthday today and many just gorgeous memories with mumma the weeks before.

Snuggles, cups of tea and simply sitting in each other’s company was the best and what I had missed for too many years.

Family, so friggen far away in distance but always so deep in the heart.

YOGA x BREATHWORK

4hr experiential workshop

An invitation to transition from a state of do-ing into a state of be-ing. Come into communication with your inner landscape in a safe and held space. This 4 hour journey will allow us to connect through a slow flow Yoga practice and Biodynamic Breathwork.

Jen and Luke are here to guide, support and empower you. Inviting you to tap into your intuitive rhythm using proven self regulation techniques to realign the whole of our system.
Jen will guide us through a slow flow yoga practice – connecting with your physical body, encouraging choice, curiosity and trust.
Through the yoga practice, Jen will share rhythms and variations to meet you in that moment, ensuring you are prepared and fully open to embark on your breathwork journey.
Luke will guide us on a biodynamic breathwork journey. Utilising the 6 elements of Biodynamic Breathwork – breath, touch, movement, emotions, sound and meditation – we will work through tension in the body to come back into a state of presence and openness.

Jen first discovered yoga as a means to heal herself after a car crash. She was initially drawn to the physical aspects to regain mobility. As Jen continued to explore different styles and teachings, yoga grew into much more than a healing physical practice.

As the significance of yoga continued to unfold throughout her life; emotionally, physically and energetically, Jen knew it was time to deepen her understandings and practice through teacher training, studying the roots of Classical Hatha Yoga.

Jen now specialises in trauma informed yoga, coming from a background of experience and studies in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Trauma Sensitive Yoga and Yoga for Trauma. Being able to share a practice with others who have come from a traumatised background allows new levels of growth and supported healing and recovery for Jen’s students.
