🚶‍➡️ NRS Walk Safe Walking Frame: The most significant change to walking frame design in over 70 years!

Enable independence with the research backed Walk Safe Walking Frame, the walker which has been proven to be two times as stable while turning.

🤔 Why is this important?
1 in 4 Australians over the age of 65, have a fall every year. 77% Of all hospitalised injuries in this age group, are from falls. Many of these falls are serious, and can cause significant health issues.

🛠️ How it was fixed
When the University of Salford (UoS) conducted research on the safety of walking frames, they found that the point of lowest stability was when the user was turning, or crossing thresholds.

UoS reached out to NRS Healthcare, to build a safer walking frame. Prototype models of the Walk Safe were tested at care homes and in a gait laboratory.

The results? Over a 40% increase in the average stability margin (a biometrics algorithim), and the minimum stability margin (point of highest risk) more than doubled... 🏆
